GS vert stripe?
In order to get the GS stripe you then are required to get the heritage package.
Is the GS stripe just a decal front and back?
Can you order these after the fact and put them on?
Seems like you must be able to save some money here?
Comments on after market quality?
Thanks.

Burning Brakes
Ehh, maybe I'm just cheap, but I saved a few bucks by having the dealer (MacMulkin) do the stripe installation. I couldn't see paying for the Heritage Package ($700) that essentially is just a set of floor mats and the small hash on the grab bar so that I could have the factory add the fender hashes and center stripe.

Melting Slicks
If you just want the fender stripe, doing it after, even by a dealer is cheaper. If you want the other stuff that comes with, then get the option.

Painted Strips
If I were going to get the fender strips would have them painted to match my Adrenaline Red Interior!
Would do what was done with my Street Rod flames:
1) after masking, spray black,
2) when dry use 1/8 inch tape on the forward edge of both strips,
3) then spray the Adrenaline Red (leaves a 1/8" black pin stripe.)
Probably clear the whole fender.
Would cost more but no decal edges etc!

Decals are a good option as opposed to paint, very easy to remove if you get tired of them or replace if damaged.
Sure, many may consider "paint" the correct way (as I kinda do), but I doubt if (1) in (50) admiring the car would notice the different or even care for that matter.

Zora's original Grand Sport Vettes did NOT have fender strips! They had racing numbers but some no strips at all!

A lot of talk about hash marks, but when I said gs stripe I meant the stripe on the hood up to the vent, then on rear to the spoiler.
When you order that you then have to get the heritage package which includes the hash stripes for a "mere" $795!
Also odd is the full racing stripe is $50 less than the gs stripe??

I had considered the 'full' GS stripe but thought it may be 'too much' with the black ragtop, so left it with just the hood 'stinger'.
