On The Fence, but finally Off The Fence
Got the itch to get into a new GS.
I have a perfectly running 2016 Racing Yellow M7 Convertible, but I started looking at a couple of M7 GS convertibles and I can't get rid of the itch.
Problem is, that I'd have to drive about 5 hours to get it since my friends at Kerbeck don't have what I'm looking for.
Is switching to the GS worth the drive?
Switched app my Racing Yellow Z51 M7 for Torch Red M7 GS. Very Happy.
Guys at MacMulkin were great. Drive up sucked (7 hrs). Traffic was horrible. Ride back was much better.(6 hrs)
Worst part was keeping it under 60-65 for the first 100 mi. At 380 now, Can't wait to get to 500.
New and Old......

A good lunch is worth a 5 hour drive on a sunny Saturday! If you want the car, don't let a roadtrip hold you back.

If you want it that badly I guess it is worth it.

To me, if I really want something a 5 hour drive is nothing.
I flew from Va to Ind to purchase my 2017 GS Vert. Took 22 hours after being jerked around every way possible by American airlines.
It was worth it though, it's great car!

I flew down to a neighboring state with my grandson to purchase my 2nd Corvette from a private party and drove it 5 hours back home. Made it an unforgettable journey.

Guess I'm spoiled cause Kerbeck had exactly what I wanted in my last 2.
Gonna call MacMulkin tomorrow and probably go up on Tue or Wed.
Seems like a Convertible manual is hard to find these days.
The paint on my 16 is fine. No complaints.
My 2007 was a different story.

Finding a GS convertible can be challenging period depending on color combo and features you want and how much you are willing to compromise on what you want.

i don't think the hit upgrading to a GS from your car is worth it. Z06 Vert? yep.. but a bigger jump... good luck with your decision!

My Z51 has magnetic ride, so not much difference other than wide body and aero parts.

As long as you asked, I think you're asking the wrong question.
Five hour drive is a bonus.
Happy hunting though.

You can have em shipped - both ways. No big deal.
It's a piece of cake. Pick up the phone and execute it.
