2021 C5 of the Year Finalist - Modified
C7 of the Year - Modified Finalist 2021
Finalist 2020 C7 of the Year -- Modified
2020 C5 of the Year Finalist - Modified
C5 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
2018 C5 of Year Finalist
- ZR1 with active aero
- Z06 refresh including ZR-1 inspired cooling elements (front bumper, etc.)
- Bump in HP for Stingray/Grand Sport
- A10 automatic transmission (Yes Tadge, I know it doesn't fit)
If they are being released as 2019s, this would probably be the final change/upgrade to the C7 generation with the C8 and/or mid-engine debut set for 2020.

If this is true, they must be wanting the ZR1 to be available for a year before they release the mid engine.

I don't see any reason to cancel my 2018 order. If there are no massive changes then my 2018 will be just fine and if there are massive changes that will also come with a higher price tag, something I also don't want. So either way I'm going to be happy. At some point every C7 owner is going to be faced with a newer and better version of what they have. But for me, I know I'm going to love my 2018, it's been a long time coming for me.

Yes you will love your 18! Your right there will always be a newer/better version. When I order my 17 GS it was ordered the last few day that a 17 order would be accepted. I compared pricing and changes, options on 18 and choose 17 because I wanted Spice Red package and in 18 Spice Red interior would be available but not with package and there was no engine or tranny changes. So I chose not getting the newer one but the one I wanted. I also waited long time for a new Corvette and love my choice . Enjoy that new Corvette!

To me the only logical reason for releasing the 2019's so early is, there's going to be a major change to the C7. I don't think the Corvette gang was sitting around the lunch room and someone said, "Hey let's shake things up and release the 2019s at the beginning of 2018." And everyone said, "that's a GREAT idea".
I think there's a major change that's big enough to cause them to decide move the model year up. Could be the A10 was fitted to the C7 frame. Maybe that new front end we've seen on the ZR1 is going to be an across the board change, maybe both.
I'm convinced this isn't going to be some new improved entertainment system, two or three new colors and everything else is the same. Nope, not gonna happen. Some major change to the C7 is coming.

I think it will be the 10 speed auto as the major change. Way too many problems with the 8 speed auto. GM spent a ton of money (with Ford) to develop that transmission, why would they not design it to fit in the C7?
More power would be nice, but I doubt it. Except for the ZR1, which should be in the low to mid 700s.

Exciting times indeed! Unprecedented. The upcoming C8 must have a play in here somewhere. If not, it'll only whet the desires of those among us anxious to find out what's in store for the C8! I'm willing to keep an open mind on what the C8 will be at this point.

I agree that this is nonsensical. If true, then I certainly would be cancelling any pending ‘18 order.
Any price increase that you might save w/the ‘18 will be dwarfed by the MY resale value difference... and will ultimately snowball w/other MYs as well.

And if there are no changes or only miniscule changes to the 2019’s??? And its price only increases $45 as it did from 2017 to 2018?

Did Rick actually say what car? What if it is the ZR1 or whatever name, and the others continue to be built like normal? Unless, there is a huge change, would it make a difference other than being more expensive? I wouldn't cancel an 18 model year order yet. with that having been said, there are many manufacturers that have sold the new model year really early. Hmmm get a 2019 in April 2018; hey is that a 17 or 18....it's a 19,dang you are in the future. Oh wait, maybe you can order the 2019 but it won't be built until July 2018..too many unknowns right now.
