I use the cruise control all the time on the highways in AZ. Hardly any traffic. And you can drive up to 9 miles an hour over the posted limit without getting a citation in this part of the country. Ask me how I know? I am, shall we say, acquainted with with a few people who monitor our highways around here.

That's because they're civilized in Austin...unlike the rest of the Lone Star state.

@sunsalem "That's because they're civilized in Austin...unlike the rest of the Lone Star state." Between the wacko's at UT, Austin and our state ledge. when it is in session every other year, nothing surprises me.

AZ is a blast! Don't miss Oregon one bit. Just the people, but our friends and relatives are starting to come down in droves now to visit us. Could it be the weather up there? Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

Nice friendly folks, great food/drink, and music.
The city put on a great show.
I hope you get a nasty sunburn this winter you lucky duck!

So that makes you an expert on Texas, especially the "rest of the state". LOL

I'm sure Texas is great, particularly Austin.
My own personal experience there, not so much. I spent a week in Dallas one night in 1983. God was on my side (that time, never since) and I got a ride on a private jet to New Orleans the next morning.

I spent 4 years in grad school at THE University of Texas, and taught there briefly, but I tried to avoid wandering too far away from Austin city limits (no pun intended). Thus, I don't know Texas.

You hear it in a lot of state university systems, where there are campuses in cities throughout the state. It's a way of saying we're the top dog and prestige original, while leaving out the @ Mudville.

I've criss-crossed just some of Texas for 35 years on ground business travel. Lived here 39.5 years now. Everyone's perception is going to differ regards Texas. Same as any other area, large or small.

Automatic emergency braking (AEB):
Forward-collision warning (FCW):
Blind-spot warning (BSW):
Rear automatic emergency braking (Rear AEB):
Lane-departure warning (LDW):
Lane-keeping assist (LKA):
Lane-centering assist (LCA):
Adaptive cruise control (ACC):
They are all here just a matter of time before they get implemented into the Corvette. I bet one or more of the above will be in the 2019 as the described electronic component(s).

I view the BSW as an almost must. With bad visibility and heavy multilane traffic one could get whiplash trying to make sure it is clear to lane change.

The technology that will be coming to corvette and all vehicles is not a priority to the market segment.
I very much doubt it's in 2017 Porsche 911s, Ferrari 488s or Aston martins to date so my question is can you post a link to those forums where you made such statements?
