That was a bad choice of words on my part when I posted that and meant to reply to you, but said what the hell; you aren't worth the time.

But since you want to make an issue out of it, I should have said thicker than 5w30 weight oil, as I was talking about "40" being thicker than "30" when heated to operating temps.

He brought up "IQ?"
All this time I thought his name was Joe, not Donald.

Of course it could be the throttle programming or TC lockup or a dozen other things.
Other than the 1-2, I think it shifts OK that way.

Apparently! I think I actually found this through Corvette Forum at one point.

Here's the original one I was referencing. Took a while to find it, but worth the time. If you have time, I definitely suggest reading the whole thing. It's hilarious. I promise you won't regret it. Pure gold from the beginning. Starts with a guy racing motorcycles, moves on to Vipers from a rolling start, and just keeps getting more ridiculous. The actual Enzo stuff starts at post #52. #56 is when they start adding the disclaimer that IT'S FASTER FROM 0-6 MPH!!!: https://priuschat.com/threads/hybrid...stories.15589/

Here's another cache of comedic gold while I tried to find the original: https://priuschat.com/threads/prius-...ferrari.74797/

Just trying to find the original discussion, I ran across so many threads of Prius owners bragging about passing cars, racing cars and [inexplicably] winning [because they weren't racing your Prius], and a whole bunch of threads talking about people snapping their necks to look at a Prius [they were probably just trying to avoid you, bub].

We had an LS6-swapped Porsche 944 show up at our last autocross event. One of our regulars just bought it. I'm sure the Porsche purists would hate it but man I thought it was cool and different. You just don't expect that sound.... It was extremely under-damped in the rear though. It was caged and the transaxle was built to handle the LS6 but every time he'd apply full throttle the rear end would squat to the bump stops making it a hand-full to drive (but fun to watch!)
I have some pictures o my phone. I couldn't believe how well the LS actually fit in there....

I remember seeing a guy with an LS-swapped S2000 down at Pitt-race for a track-day. That was pretty cool too. An S2000 with TORQUE!?

The shop that installed the springs on my Honda Civic this summer specializes in Miatas and they've got a current generation Miata with an LS3 in it as well. It's their race car though, it doesn't see street duty. It has wider fenders to accommodate a decent sized tire on it too. That's one of the biggest issues with modded Miatas, most guys can't get enough traction from the tiny tires that fit in the wheel wells. I have a couple of friends with modded Miatas, one has an LS2 in it, the other has a GM Ecotec motor (200hp) that is planning a turbo or supercharger on it soon (looking for about 300hp)

Check out Tom's Turbo Garage on YouTube. He has a series of videos of installing an LS3 in a previous gen Miata.

LS engines were going into the Solstice before the paint was dry on the body panels.
