Take a quick trip to Minnesota, when it gets -20F in a few months, the ants will be gone

Well, we travel in our Vettes. One thing I have learned is as much as I love my Vettes, they are just cars. They can be cleaned up after almost any type of spill.

Default How about

If/when you do spill something on the seats would it be a good idea to place the seat fan and then maybe the seats heater in service that help with the drying? . . Plus it might also be a good idea to see if they still work.

Purchase an anteater and let it loose in the car. Added bonus is they eat termites too, in case the 2x4s you haul home from Home Depot are infested.

If this fails, follow dmaxx3500's advice.

the vette is my DD. Ants seem to be gone for now. She's parked for 5 days while I'm working. I'll know more Tuesday.

Gotcha...I was assuming that you had a JeepSRT as a DD...I'm sure that the C7 will get back to normal soon.

Those stories on take out are bad enough but think about what happens when a Clorox bottle with the lid not on tight gets turned over in the back seat. Black leather, black carpet and Clorox don't go together very well.

Do tell!

This makes my story of Mr.owc6 sshcmeearing an egg burrito onto the sueded A pillar in Albuquerque pale in comparison!

But if this didn't happen in the Vette (back seats?), then pshaw!

The risk of spillage is bad enough not to mention having to smell that sickening "greasy fast food" sent that can linger for days it seems.
No food eaten or carried in my Vettes, but then I'm a car lover not a "it's only a car" type guy.

Yeah if it had of been in the Vette I would really have been pissed. It was in the back seat of a 4 door Silverado truck which we take on trips if we take the kids. The looks they give when they crawl in the back though. lol

Too funny. I had a similar situation with BBQ sauce a couple of weeks ago. A local farm smokes it's own meat and sells sandwiches and trays. My wife says one Saturday, lets' have BBQ sandwiches for dinner. Of course I jump in the Z51 to go get them. Errands have never been so much fun. Anyway, get our sandwiches and 4 4oz containers of their homemade sauces. Reach for the bag on the passenger floor when getting out and "oh chit", one of the containers falls out of the top of the bag. Reaching to grab it, it falls on the floor under the seat and breaks open... onto the carpeting and under the seat rails and bolt area like the blob. 2 hours later I finally get dry paper towels an no BBQ smell. Luckily I have a black interior and a can of carpet cleaner. Damn BBQ sauce. No smell of BBQ in the car and the carpeting looks like nothing ever happened. Sandwiches were cold, but eventually had dinner.... after the C7 was cleaned.
