2015 C7 - Weird Rattle Noise under hood... see video

I’m having a weird problem, any help would be appreciated. I have a rattle from my C7 when lightly accelerating. Definitely appears to be coming from under the hood possibly the engine. I attached a youtube link from someone who caught it on tape. Appears to be from under the hood. Has anyone else had this issue? I have around 9k miles on it..

I heard it. If I'm listening to it correctly, I think it sounded like someone wrinkling aluminum foil. Didn't do it all the time. Did you isolate it to a certain RPM?

That’s exactly what it sounds like. It seems to happen around 1500 RPMs and only during acceleration. It does not happen all the time. Usually seem to notice it most between 30 and 60 mph.. The second I let off the gas stops..

Lol... Actually I shot the video on vhs-c, then used a video capture board to import into the computer and then upload to YouTube. I wish there was an easier way!!

I could not really hear it, but have you checked the belt tensioners? Is it in 4 cylinder mode?

It’s not in four-cylinder mode when it happens.. but I’ll take a look at the tensioners. thanks

If you raise your volume at around 17 seconds you should hear it

Is there any update to this? Mine just started this and is sound exactly the same as yours. Only under acceleration and only around 1500RPM. I was informed that it is most likely the tension pulley going bad but did you ever fix yours? If so what was it?
