i'm a big fan of the OEM Grand Sport machine faced wheels. So much so that I haven't even looked at after market wheels for my '17.

The problem is that the offsets are god awful sky high on the base C7.

That means that very few wheels look good on this car, and it also means that picking up a set of HRE’s or 360 Forged like the guys above is throwing your money in the toilet imho. On other cars, forged wheels mean you can get a nice deep concave face suited for a low offset application.

For the base C7, it just isn’t worth it. The Z51’s are forged, and the look only gets marginally better with a/m forged wheels.

The GS and Z06 is a whole other story. I would have picked up a set of nice forged wheels within 2 days of picking up a GS or Z06, as the options are plentiful and nice concavity can be had.

Thank you for clearing that up. The narrow body C7 doesn't have the ability to properly show off a great wheel due to the width and offset, but you can get very nice wheels, but they are expensive. The WB (GS and Z) solve that problem. And besides the typical $14-15,000 sets there are some very nice and intriguing styles also in forged Monoblock for quite a bit less than that these days.

What I know for sure is the the oem Z wheels are horrible. Didn't feel that way about my C5Z or my C6Z, but the C7Z wheels are too busy and too heavy and not near strong enough. But that is easy to fix. Just sell them and buy some good wheels.

Previously shown AR-1s in Transparent Smoke first and the now defunct Morr VS-52s in Tinted Clear.

I agree with regard to looks, since the OEM styles are very attractive. The only good reason to go aftermarket is to reduce unsprung weight and have much stronger wheels.

To save a lot of weight requires one-piece, monoblock wheels, machined entirely from a single 6061-T6 aluminum forging to create a wheel that is extremely stiff, exceptionally strong, and very lightweight. That puts you in $5K per set territory.

While I kind of like the general style of WKMCD's wheels they look genuinely "clunky" to me compared with my GM wheels that are in the same style and are the only ones that actually look good.

Very tasteful; beautiful car, there.

You've got to give GM Corvette a lot of credit. It'd be difficult to improve on the aesthetics of ZO6 wheels on the C7.

I agree. Z51 is perfect. I've actually been eyeing these. Again, like them, but don't love them.

Def not $10k. Way less. Half that.

Same here. I've done after market wheels on my last several cars, but saw no need to invest in anything other than these.

That's because the factory wheels perfectly fit the car.
I looked and looked and could find nothing better than the factory's.

All personal choice, but I agree with the OP.
It's not that there's not a lot of wheels to pick from.
Just hard to find something that blends with the car and has a good offset.
To me, most of the wheels are too fancy and draw more attention to just the wheels instead of complimenting the car as a whole.
I feel lucky to have found my Finspeed wheels in the for sale section.
Waited a long time to find a set like these

Those are C6Z wheels and I like them a lot. I also was considering those but cannot find them in the right sizes either.

I'm sure glad my 2018 gets those wheels at no extra cost too! (although I did pay $500 more since I want them in black)

I also think the base 18/19" wheels available in 2016 and 2017 look great too (much better than the base wheel in 2014 and 2015)

GM has come a long way with wheel designs for the Corvette. Almost all of the wheels available on the C4 were butt ugly (especially from 84-87) and same with the wagon wheels on the 97-99s. But from 2000 forward I think the Corvette has had some amazing looking wheels from the factory.

I'm not sure they're a C6z06 replica, but they're both a simple split 5 star. The ones in the picture are forgeline (and about $6k)
