Can I have the best of both? - Fuel Economy AND Comfortable ride
I will be using my 17 GS as a DD for a while and I'd like to have a comfortable ride AND Fuel Economy for daily commutes.
I've read several threads about getting a less harsh ride by setting the Drive Mode Selector to Tr - Wet. (btw - do I leave Stability Control active?)
Setting the DIC to 'Eco' is inferential, but do Get 'Eco' too if I set the DMS to Eco after choosing Tr -Wet, (Stability Control on or off?)
OR, are they mutually exclusive? i.e. one or the other but not both?

That's seems a lot to worry about my friend. I say just set her up in touring, don't worry about eco mode, and just enjoy the ride. It's going to get good enough mpg's to make you happy.

FWIW...I've noticed on my Z51 M7,the eco mode is worth about 3-4 extra MPG.
If the roads you travel are very flat, probably more.Up & down grades it will go in/out of V4 mode fairly often.
As Bill Dearborn has stated and I have noticed, that in 6th the extra revs keeps it in V4 more often than 7th does,
Not really worth it IMO.

Set the driver mode **** to Eco and enjoy. You're over-thinking things
Eco enables V4 mode on the M7 and Weather/Eco/Tour all use the softest suspension setting. I use all 3, depending on conditions, during long highway drives.

Yep, overanalizing, I suppose
Thank you all for the considerate replies.
My 2013 ZL1 M6 averaged 13 mpg on my daily commute - too much PbPeditis ('Lead Foot' for you non Medical Types) most likely

As far as the ride comfort goes, I can't tell any difference, regardless of settings, but I don't have the mag ride. My settings don't change the suspension. I do notice steering, etc. Bottom line, I'm pretty impressed with how comfortable my Z51 rides. Not as smooth as my Jeep GC, but more than adequate for a sports car.
Economy/Wet settings... I use Eco on the boring Interstates/freeways. In Sept, Des Moines to Chicago via I-80 and I-88, averaged 29.2 MPG. I don't use the setting around town. Even short freeway hops not worth it. I just leave it in Sport.
Wet setting, however... If you haven't done Spring Mountain, then you won't know how awesome the Wet setting is. Many of us may never need it, but if we do, one totally cool thing to have available.

If you are looking for confort and great MPG Get a 4 cyl or hybrid toyota or honda. I don't think those would be priorities for a Corvette owner, these is a SPORT CAR which is more focused toward performance

If you elect for Touring mode (which I use), I suggest that you going to settings and set the steering effort to Sport. The Touring mode steering assist is just too sensitive for me.

Best of both worlds?
I keep it in Sport 90% of the time and get 26-28 mpg on the highway averaging 70-75 mph.
It's my economy car when compared to my Jeep and F250.

Being a new owner, I'd like to explore all the options and capabilities that this fantastically engineered machine has to offer.
Wild is unquestioned well documented, but sadly, seldom used in daily Lost Angeles Traffic - how mild is the question of the moment..
As Wmark noted - I can't tell much difference between the softer settings either (yet), even with Magnetic Ride Control.
Testing and Evaluating will continue.
