Default Corvette News/10-22-17 Delivery Post/-Barn Find Pics and more~ Mike Furman @Criswell*

~It's impossible in the Corvette World to miss all the rumors flying around these days because so much is about to happen within the next year and the Media/Internet is a giant Buzz because of it. Zora Duntov himself would say "Rumors sell magazines." But I will admit "where there is smoke there is fire." Clearly the 2019 ZR1 will be getting announced real soon especially with the 2019 Corvette production to start Jan 29th instead of the June 24th time frame like it normally would. That early start date then brings up the question of how long will the 2019's be built and does that make the 2020 the first year of the 8th Generation and is it the Mid Engine?

Corvette Dates Cheat Sheet
October 27 – 2018 Corvette unallocated sold orders cut off
November 6 – GM Plant Re-Starts 2018 Production in the new Paint Shop
November 16 – Final date to order a 2018 Corvette
November 20 – 2019 Corvette Order Guide Released
November 30 – 2019 Corvette Orders Picked-Up
December 11 – Sebring Orange Corvettes begin
January 22 (week of) – 2018 Corvette Production Ends
January 29 – 2019 Corvette Production Starts

~ As I have stated on the Forums...exciting times are continuing... very soon the Corvette World will be electrified. I am now in my 40th year selling America's #1 Sports Car! Trust me my experience does count when ordering your next Corvette.
I have now owned 18 Corvettes and I am nearing my 4,000th Corvette Sold! Onward and upward to 5,000.

Touch base anytime. Ask for me as I always do special things for my Corvette customers.
One of which is that I give an Adam's Polishes Gift Certificate to all my Corvette buyers!

*Next years 3rd annual Furman Corvette Driving Experience at Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada is scheduled for the first few days of October. GM picks up almost 65% of the tab when you buy a new Corvette for this two day Corvette driving experience. My Class of 20 will fill up fast.

-I will be out of the office Monday October 23rd.* (Spending time with the Salvation Army)

*Spotlight one Delivery:

~Ronjoy G. Of Livermore, California reached out to me two weeks ago as he heard of me thru the Forums. Ronjoy just moved to the States from Australia and wanted to drive America’s #1 Sports Car! He picked out a Torch Red 2017 Corvette Stingray Cpe with Two Tone Adrenaline Red interior, Red calipers, CF Badge Pkg, Magnetic Select Ride, Auto trans, Performance Exhaust, Black wheels, CF painted spoiler/mirrors and 2LT Pkg. His new Stingray Corvette is all cleaned up and Plycon Trucking picked it up Thursday eve to ship it enclosed trailer and travel 2,798 miles from Criswell in Maryland to Ronjoy’s driveway in Livermore, California. He will soon find out this Stingray is a World Class Sports Car!
Wave to him if you see him on the highways of the West Coast!

Thanks for another great week Mike. And thanks for your work with the Salvation Army!

My favorite is the '63 coupe coming off the rollback. I bet there's a story associated with it.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to post this thread. I enjoyed the pictures of the men working on the clay models and the skill of turning a mound of clay into Corvette art!

Cngrats to Ron being a new owner! As to the Class section, the first one is great only to look at the second (looks like it rolled unattended). The best are the racing cars with Ko Motion old and new being good to see. Thanks Mike.

Not my favorite picture but does bring back memories when my brother borrowed my '65 C2 Vert and proceeded to roll it over that day. Not a scratch on him and crawled out through the windshield while it was still upside down.

Once repaired I traded it in for a '67 Olds 442. By then I was 24. Nice but not the same thrills.

Thanks Mike for another great week of pictures.

Congrats. to ALL the new owners, and to the great looking Torch Red coupe heading west............

Rather than add to the '63 SWC photos, I will go with the picture showing the Corvettes outside the GM VEC (Vehicle Engineering Center) building here in MI at the GM Tech Center...............

Thanks for all you do for the Corvette community and supporting the Salvation Army too...................

Have a great upcoming week..............

Thanks for another Sunday of great pictures and stories, Mike.
My favorite is this '74 since it looks just like my first Corvette nearly 40 years ago.

"Very soon the Corvette world will be electrified." Interesting choice of words Mike! LOL!

Wouldn't it be something if the mid-engine mule was actually a Tesla rival electric Corvette?
