C7 Pillar Post
What do some of you think about changing the pillar post covers out to ones that are the same color as the car? All the corvettes I have seen have black ones. I thought it might would have been better if GM would have painted them the same color as the car.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I guess it would depend on the color of your car. Some people really like the black contrast with whatever body color they have. I think it would look good on my Admiral blue, but I also like the black contrast enough not to change it. I think there might be enough interest out there for an aftermarket company to offer these.

Go to Michaels craft store or similar and find some tape or sticky back vinyl that is close to your cars paint color. Stick it on very lightly so it will come off easily and see how it looks. If you like it, check on some car wrap vinyl to see if any matches your paint. You may get lucky and can then do it as a semi permanent change.

^ good advice. If you can find some vinyl that will match the color of your car, that would be an easy way to go while not being permanent.
If you do this, please post up some pics.

You could ask this company if they can make a set for your pillars

It might look better with the red roof. The white Stingray on the site didn't look too bad. It's not a positive eye catcher with the black roof. Considering the current economy, $300+ is too much throw away for something as borderline as this. I do like your taste in wheels, though.👍🏻

Just my opinion, but the black looks way better. There's a reason why they didn't accent that piece and it's because it's an odd shape and doesn't flow right.

I purchased a set and it took a few weeks before I got them. Also I had to remove the original stainless steel track that holds the rubber seal. I had to be careful and drill out all the rivets and reattach the tracks to the new pillar covers. I used aluminum rivets to finish the job. It was a pain but I got it done.
