So with the November incentives, I'm considering to pull the trigger on a Stingray (either 1LT or 2LT).
From what I'm seeing, the difference between a 2017 vs a 2018 with the same options is about $4000. Is it worth it to save the money now or the resale value of a the 1 year newer car will be more than the difference?
While I most likely won't sell this car for a long time, I'm just thinking about the different angles just in case. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

I believe the answer is not in the resale value. That is funny money down the road that as some have pointed out is offset. For example, a lower mileage 2018 brought on the same day as a 2019 might sell for more than the newer model year 2019 as it would be a very low mileage 2018.
However there are real savings to buying a 2017 now. You can get 20% off MSRP. That doesn't happen very often and that is real money TODAY. The 2018s are still going for around 10% off MSRP so I think your number- the difference between 20% and 10% would amount to more than just $4K difference. Just go to the forum dealers and see what they are selling the 2017s for. I wish I had brought a 2017 and saved myself another 6K over the 2018 I ordered.
Not sure if you are including the $3K owner loyalty but that is now also on both 2017 and 2018 for November.

Yeah I hear you. Are these "blowout" prices that dealers are advertising still negotiable?

Totally agree with that. If I was in the market for a used car, I would likely choose a 2016 with 20k miles over a 2017 with 20k miles because of the perception that the 2016 was babied.
I've seen up to 12% off for 2018s, but yea, it's still a good chunk of money, today.
So I wonder if there will be similar big discount pricing on the 2018s starting Jan 2019 as well. It's really just around the corner.

In January 2019 there will be a lot of 2017s still on lots. The discounts on 2018s won't be the same as the 2017s. If you find the exact car you want in a 2017 at 20% off, then that's about the best deal you can get. You can gamble that it will still be there in January and that there will be further discounts and you can lose that gamble.
So, Are you feeling lucky?

Grab a 2017 now with the big discounts and don't look back. You can spend a lot of time chasing the best deal/ waiting for future deals or enjoy driving your new 2017 now.

All true, that's what I plan on doing. I see in your avatar that you have the red seats, is that correct? How have they held up as far as keeping them clean and conditioned? Having a hard time deciding between red or black.

No problem at all with the red seats. Wipe them down now and then with a damp cloth and that is about it. They look brand new and really give a nice contrast to the exterior.

You mean as in versus placing an order for one? Yeah I mean, I don't care too much about all those accessories and minor options. The already made ones may have 1 or 2 things I don't want, but oh well.

There are some great deals out there. One car I was serious about is 18k off now. They couldn't match the deal I got back in August so I went with another similar car. Had I waited I could have saved 5k. However I've enjoyed the hell out of the car.

I would be more concerned with getting a C7 in the color combination and equipment I prefer at the best price then whether I purchase a 2017 or 2018.

Buy whatever you want that's cheapest and go from there. Later will be... well, later and who knows by then.

Exactly why I purchased in August with plant shutting down. If OP has a specific combo in mind I'd start there. Not a big difference between 17 and 18 to justify a difference in price.

The best buy is not now.. it will be fall 2019. When they announce ME you will have lots packed with c7s new and used. I foresee 25-30% off. Save up for the year and pay in full and save more. Then come back and thank me

lol. That's what I was thinking. I regret not getting mine sooner as I was trying to save a few bucks. I got almost 13% off. It amazes me how cheap some want to get these cars for. I knew if I waited I could get a better deal. However then it would be sitting for months and I wouldn't get to enjoy it due to weather.
