GM suspension tune upgrade

I really couldn't care less how much you did or didn't pay. As seen in this thread and many others, and in my own personal experience, a high number of dealers and technicians are absolute idiots when it comes to anything related to a computer. In light of that, I figured I'd throw my theory out there.
If you're confident that your dealer is simultaneously dumb enough give away a $350 upgrade, yet smart enough to correctly install said upgrade, good for you. If in a few weeks you feel like your car isn't any different, then maybe think back on this little discussion.

Uh huh. Unless they specifically told you they were giving you the upgrade as a gesture of good will or something, they let $350 walk out the door. Not the brightest move IMO.

Jeez man, relax. No one doubts you were telling the truth. But, it's clear your dealer was clueless unless they specifically told you they were giving you a "gift."

I'd prefer to hear comments about the software update and how it affects the ride of the car.
Enough of this petty BS about free and hide my "whatever" or the silly side discussion of pride, honor and the American Way of life...
How did the update work for you, that's it, period, nothing else required.

My dealer finally got gm to tell them that the software is available for my 16 Z06. I have appointment for Tuesday morning. I’m very particular so I’ll post my impressions.

I am in the waiting room now. Big volume dealership, very experienced SA, but still I am serial number 1 for the up date. But with the GM printout we got it figured out. SA did state they will be billed the $350, so if I didn’t pay they would have to and would catch it pretty quickly.

So it’s taken 4 hours so far?

I’d like a little more info on the convertible recall. My 16 Z06 non Z07 is a convertible and my suspension update is scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 am

Some folks mistakenly refer to service bulletins as recalls, but they are not. Recalls can be ordered by NHTSA or conducted voluntarily if it is determined that a safety problem may exist on some cars.

Yes, I always check that, and it does not apply to my 2014 convertible. 14's did not have the auto pull-down latch, so that's probably the reason.

My dealer stated the the $350.00 MSRP was their cost as verified when they called to get the upgrade. Lost the argument about MSRP being retail.
