If you're confident that your dealer is simultaneously dumb enough give away a $350 upgrade, yet smart enough to correctly install said upgrade, good for you. If in a few weeks you feel like your car isn't any different, then maybe think back on this little discussion.
I’m not going to judge their intelligence and I don’t need a few weeks to feel if my car is any different. I noticed the difference the following day after the upgrade. Software-Updated, Cost-0, Results-Awesome. Dealership-SA-SM-ST - not in the category of your DUMB IDIOTS.

Uh huh. Unless they specifically told you they were giving you the upgrade as a gesture of good will or something, they let $350 walk out the door. Not the brightest move IMO.

If you actually believe they gave it to you rather than screwing up, you wouldn't be so defensive and unwilling to disclose the name of the dealer.

Congrats. You show some intelligence. I am defensive because I am defending what I posted is the truth. And, I will not disclose the Dealer which is my business and my prerogative.

Jeez man, relax. No one doubts you were telling the truth. But, it's clear your dealer was clueless unless they specifically told you they were giving you a "gift."

I'd prefer to hear comments about the software update and how it affects the ride of the car.

Enough of this petty BS about free and hide my "whatever" or the silly side discussion of pride, honor and the American Way of life...

How did the update work for you, that's it, period, nothing else required.

My dealer finally got gm to tell them that the software is available for my 16 Z06. I have appointment for Tuesday morning. I’m very particular so I’ll post my impressions.

I am in the waiting room now. Big volume dealership, very experienced SA, but still I am serial number 1 for the up date. But with the GM printout we got it figured out. SA did state they will be billed the $350, so if I didn’t pay they would have to and would catch it pretty quickly.

Anyone know if it's ready for the standard (FE6) '17 Grand Sport?

So it’s taken 4 hours so far?

Only 2 hours so far. They also have to do a download and update for another problem that has a recall on the convertibles.

I’d like a little more info on the convertible recall. My 16 Z06 non Z07 is a convertible and my suspension update is scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 am

I've had no recall or service bulletin on my 2014 convertible. If it exists, it must be for another MY.

Some folks mistakenly refer to service bulletins as recalls, but they are not. Recalls can be ordered by NHTSA or conducted voluntarily if it is determined that a safety problem may exist on some cars.

It will be listed on your My Chevrolet app if you need it. Apparently the "trunk is open" message can appear w a closed trunk. So that requires a software update also.

3 hours start to finish for both updates. Pretty reasonable. Thanks to Quality Chevrolet in Escondido and SA, Wes Parkhurst.

Yes, I always check that, and it does not apply to my 2014 convertible. 14's did not have the auto pull-down latch, so that's probably the reason.

[QUOTE=MacMulkin;1595893064]You can read all about it here:

My dealer stated the the $350.00 MSRP was their cost as verified when they called to get the upgrade. Lost the argument about MSRP being retail.
