The MRSP is $350 (for the software) and dealers are instructed to log .3 hours labor charged back to GM. While the dealer apparently can charge more, as a handful of dealers are doing - it is counter to GM's pricing intent of this upgrade. My dealer performed the upgrade for $350 - underscoring the reasons I keep coming back to them....integrity and trust.
Why would you want to continue to do business with a dealer that is obviously ripping you off?

I believe he is using a Chevy dealer, not a Ford dealer. I would never take my Corvette to Ford to have work done on it.

Had a brain fart while posting. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Fixed my original post....

Actually my experience at getting my wife's Ford serviced far far exceeds my Corvette and Camaro experiences.

Yeah well, there are good dealer service departments and bad service departments on every make and model. Nearest to your locale, the Ford or Chevy dealer may be great, but the BMW/MB/Lexus/Infiiniti/Acura service department may suck. Having said that, there is a higher probability that the latter group will be more competent given their newer dealer agreements.

The domestic manufacturers are still plagued by grandfather dealer arrangements, whereas the newer imported marques have more control over their networks.

I'm taking in my Z06 for oil change and would like to ask my dealer about the MRC update. Is 84375894 the right P/N for 2017 Z06 w/o Z07?
Is there a link to an official GM doc on this, like this?

Need some clarification. I have a 17 GS built 5-11-17 build sheet says FE6 . Can I get this upgrade or does my car already have it. Calling to set up oil change and want to do at same time if my car doesn't already have it. Sorry but after reading 58 page in this post still confused.

My guess is that you already have it. If I remember correctly, 17 GS models built after the beginning of 2017 already have it. But to make sure, I would use the GM website and plug in your vin# to see what the settings show. That's the best way to determine if it has been done. I posted the following on 4/14/18. Hope this helps.

Looks like my 2017 GS w/o Z07 (FE6) was completed successfully. These are the "after" settings.

84213967 - Updated Operating System

84421869 - Real Time Damping

Just had it done this afternoon at Grey Chevrolet, Port Orchard, WA. 2017 Stingray M7. Took about an hour. They were competent, knew what to do, and charged me appropriately. It's sitting overnight right now, so its not fully calibrated, but I can already tell the steering in Tour is much much lighter, scary even. Have to relearn it. I'm not sure about the ride yet.

If I understand correctly you do not have the update. Even the 2018's only got some of the update leaving the factory, not all the update. I know there is an update for my 2018 Grand Sport.

Hmm, I noticed no difference is steering with the new software BUT from when I bought my Grand Sport a year ago, I have the steering set at "Always Sport" regardless of driving mode.

If you find it is still "lighter" in Touring might consider setting it in "Always Sport." You can also set to "Always Track" but I found that a bit too "stiff."

I drove my 2014 Z51 non MRC always in Sport since I liked the steering and other settings in that mode and there was no difference in ride. Unfortunately there is no way to set throttle response to "Always Anything" in the Grand Sport. So I was driving at at Max throttle responsiveness in the 2014 when set at Sport Mode, in the Grand Sport it must be in Track Mode to get Max responsiveness. Did not like the responsiveness as I was driving in Touring and in Track Mode the ride rattled your teeth!

I installed a Vitesse Throttle Controller soon after I got my Grand Sport and set it at 4/5. After the software change still have it at a 4/5 out of 9 setting, which I find about equal to my 2014 set at Sport Mode.

I did the MRC upgrade today.
Attached the invoice to show what they did. Cost, $350. But at the beginning, the dealership told me that I'll have to pay for labour. At less $150 more. So, the total cost would have been about $500. I was surprised and explained them that on corvettes forums, the price generally paid by everyone is $350. They were surprised but I let them the car. In the morning, they call me back and let me a message in which they explained that I'll finally pay only $350. I didn't understand if it was a discount for me or because they agree that $350 is the normal price.

I picked-up the car this evening. They just say all is good but it is better not to drive the car during the next 8 to 10 hours to have the maximum benefits of the upgrade. And to return home slowly. Not by interstate.

Through the development of this thread, I have read most if not all the posts. I own a 2017 GS with the ZO7 option. The older letter from GM says there will be further upgrades coming and my combination does not seem to have appeared unless I missed it somewhere in this massive tome. Would this upgrade reduce some of the tooth clattering ride in the Tour mode of the ZO7 or is it primarily for the Sport and Track modes in my car? I absolutely love the braking capabilities of the car but the ride can be a bit annoying on certain pavement textures.

17 GS+Z07 is available. I've only got a 14 Z51, but there was a noticeable improvement in both tour and sport. Others have reported similar results on GS and Z06.

I did the MRC update at Penske Chevy in Cerritos, CA and they charged me $350 for the 'part', $140 for 'Labor' and Tax.
I argued at the time against the Labor, but didn't think much about the Tax. Upon researching, it should have been only $350. Period.
The Labor is already included in the $350 price and there should be no Tax collected on a Software Download and instillation.
I will be having words with the Service Manager and possibly the Owner.

So, if you are thinking about the update, caveat emptor - and avoid being overcharged.

I drove the car a hundred of miles since the upgrade.
I like a lot the new feeling it gives. The car is much better controlled and the feedback of the road is better too. It's really impressive as if it is a new car.
No regret for having done.

I also own a 2017 Grand Sport with Z07, had the upgrade done, Tour mode is now compliant which is what I expected it to be when we bought it. Took a 1000 mile road trip with no discomfort, it does a great job soaking up sharp impacts. Before the upgrade Tour felt somewhere between Sport and Track, not at all what I thought MSRC would provide. I can certainly feel the difference, but also verified via the TIS website for the K19 Suspension Module.

You should see the Real Time Damping Part Number update to 84421870 - Real Time Damping, which is what the 2019 Grand Sport Z07 cars are programmed with. All 2019 model year cars are programmed from the factory with the updated calibrations, which is why the description doesn't reference anything about it being a performance parts upgrade.

I took my 2018 Grand Sport, Carbon 65 in for some warranty work and to have the mag ride upgrade done. Corvette tech knew exactly what I was asking for, said it was $350 dollars, and he has done several cars. Also said that the car should sit for 8 hours after the upgrade to take full effect. So, I was happy.

That was short lived. Corvette tech spent two hours on the phone with Tech Line Customer Support Center. Initially they told him that the cal was ready for my car and were giving him information for down loading it. Then they said it it was not ready for my car yet and were not sure when it would be ready. I was disappointed. Mine is a very early build 2018.

Any one had an upgrade on your 2018?
