Mine shakes at idle and is normal. The thing is, mine has done it since new, yet your post sounds as if yours just started doing it. So did it really just start doing it or has it been doing it all along and you just never noticed?

My 2018 a8 doesn't vibrate, but it may be auto v/s stick. Gas gauge
is always one gallon less used than when it gets filled up. Just turned 4K miles, my 10, 13 & 16 were always spot on with the gallons used, figure
it is just a computer glitch.

Mine does not vibrate per se, but it will shake a bit from time to time. Normal operation for these larger engines. However, I'm not sure if we are experiencing the same thing when you say "vibrates". Welcome to the forum, and good luck. I hope it's nothing serious.

It's intentionally tuned that way (low idle) to give these engines character (they are American V8's after all). If you don't like it you can turn the idle up higher with an aftermarket tuner such as a Diablo InTune to smooth things out.

I noticed right away the raspy idle but knowing that higher performance cars typically display this my concern was minimal. Idles rougher than my previous Lexus and I like it!

Normal for the idle to be a little rough. I was warned when I picked up my car.

Actually it is done that way to save fuel - lower idle speed = greater fuel economy. The C7 (M7) idles at 600 rpm, my Jeep GC (auto) idles at 500 rpm.
