PART of the reason you are paying so much more for the Corvette is it’s looks!
I personally could NEVER buy a car no matter how great it is, if I didn’t absolutely love the looks of it. example: The GTR. I could care less about the technology it has or what it can do, to me it looks like ****.

Burning Brakes
The SS Camaro is a cool car but the C7 is just sexy cool. The Camaro is the clear winner for value and the Vette is just nicer to look at, imho. Either car is fun to drive.

My previous car was a 15 1LE. Amazing car! It handled much better at the limit than my GS does. It's biggest issue was weight. You can see the size next to a Miata. Which I passed in corner! I could four wheel drift it out of the carousel at Sonoma and oversteer at will through 11 and never worry about missing my mark! Great car! I ran consistent 1:53's stock other than pads, tires, and a bigger rear sway to get rid of the built in understeer.
