I traded a 2015 2SS 1LE for my 2014 Corvette Stingray

The 1LE kills my corvette in handling, it is really a sweet handling machine, The Camaro team hit a home run there....

The corvette is better in every other way

OK, but the 2014 is the last generation Camaro.
The 2016 onward would be a more interesting comparison.

The new gen ZL1 is very cool and if I was in the market for a muscle car it would be my choice.

My previous car was a 15 1LE. Amazing car! It handled much better at the limit than my GS does. It's biggest issue was weight. You can see the size next to a Miata. Which I passed in corner! I could four wheel drift it out of the carousel at Sonoma and oversteer at will through 11 and never worry about missing my mark! Great car! I ran consistent 1:53's stock other than pads, tires, and a bigger rear sway to get rid of the built in understeer.

I don't know why, but this made me laugh...the Mazda looks like a toy car.

I'm only 5' 11", tried on a Miata once at the Detroit Auto Show, and it obviously just wasn't going to happen. All the Miatas I know are owned by women, which is not a hit on Miatas as cars, but a reflection of how small they are.

If I was the Miata driver I'd be getting out of the way, too, it looks like he's about to be eaten by a shark.

I’m 6’3” 220 lbs and have owned Miatas since 1995. I fit fine.

I have 1 of each. The 5th 1LE is one amazing bang for buck. There is no question about it, I absolutely love my 1LE on the track. It never gets old. You pull off, open the door and grin ear to ear wondering how this hippo can dance so well. But I have to ask the couple other previous 1LE owners. Are you guys positive it’s not just “absence making the heart grow fonder?” I don’t have a GS, just a Z51, but I can’t honestly say that my 1LE can out handle my Z51. Different leagues

yes, and one of the most comical things in the photo is the bulky look of the Camaro. I suppose the bulk is required to contain the needlessly large rims on these cars. Another detail seen in photo is the obvious better outward visibility in the Miata. The tiny side windows on the Camaro seem almost ridiculous.

^ I can honestly tell you I have never had visibility issues in the Camaro. Not sure other heights and sizes, but I'm 5 8" and no visibility complaints. Every magazine review seems to make a big deal out of it, much like the BMW IDrive system in the mid 2000s was the thing to hate. I had a 5 series with the IDrive, worked flawlessly. The rest of the car's issues drove me nuts, but the system was years ahead of it's time

To me, the Camaro seems more like a muscle car. But the Corvette is closer to the upper echelon sports cars, a la Ferrari.

...just my opinion.
