Yep, which is why my SO vert w/ black top, black wheels, and CF pkg will look so damned good.

Thanks a million for those shots. In that light, it's a dead-ringer for Hugger Orange. I love it.

I've tried to like the color ever since I saw the SO painted panel at Carlisle
but it just isn't doing it for me. Perhaps I would feel different if seeing in person.
While I feel select black accents help the color pop, black interior, full stripes, wheels, mirrors are way overkill IMO!

Spent awhile today looking at the SO ZR1 at Barrett-Jackson Chevy plans to auction tomorrow for the benefit of a charity working with military veterans.
SO definitely seems to have a bit of iridescence in it, which shows in different lighting. Various pictures on the Forum have demonstrated the variability in the appearance of the SO paint under different lighting conditions. I like it. I'm sure the chemistry involved in the paint is cool as well. Not as dramatic or pronounced as McLaren's 'Pacific Blue' Pearlescent Paint, but the iridescence is there.

While the pictures here don't show it, there is a lot of metal flake in the paint, and it does change colors depending upon the lighting.

Very few, including myself, have seen it in person because only a handful of cars have been released. I ordered one sight unseen, which has been produced, but now being held at the plant. It appears that they are only now painting large batches of them, and that's my dealer's theory on the hold.
Based upon the 100s of photos I've studied, the pictures just above in the sun are probably very accurate. It seems to be a very bright "true orange." Cameras don't "see" metal flake like the human eye does.
Monitors also vary a great deal. When I look at one of the above pictures on my laptop it appears to be a very bright orange, but on a different monitor at work the same picture appears to be a little darker shade.
