I am also looking at purchasing the GM Wheel and Tire plan. Just got the Z06 a week ago and with the bad roads down here in NC I know there is a pot hole out there waiting for me.

lol, just buy some Cray wheels for $1600, sell your factory ones for $1200 and use the rest for a track day

I may have missed it, but if you didn't get an service contract on the car itself, the money would be a much better investment. That gives you more piece of mind, knowing if something happens to the car mechanically, you are covered. And even if you don't have to actually use the service plan, it is fully transferable to the next owner.

Wheels and tire purchase makes more sense, depending on how often you plan to drive the car in the winter. But then again, what's more annoying to me is not being able to drive the car below 40 degree days. If you have a base c7, and still want the runflats, Michelin makes a ultra high performance all season runflat available. I just ordered a set from tire rack for my son's corvette. They ran about $1300, but that is just for the tires. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your answers and advice. I put the winter tires on (and they drive well). I'm going to buy the extended bumper to bumper warranty for the mechanicals and skip the tire and wheel warranty. The winter tires are covered for life time flat repair, and Town Fair Tire also includes life time winter tire change over. I think I'm going to gamble, and if I should bend a wheel that can't be fixed, I'm going to just change that wheel when (or if) it should happens. In the mean time, I'll keep an eye out for an low price set of spare wheels. I appreciate all your input! Thanks!

...or, simply by what you need IF you ever need it?
