C7 differences between years
I recently upgraded to a 2013 Grand Sport with less than 5,000 miles on it. It's never been driven in the rain.
While I love the car, I've become reluctant to drive it much. It's in too nice of condition. Maybe some of you have experience this dilemma.
What I've realized is that I really want a daily driver that I can use day or night. I want to drive my Corvette daily in all weather.
My question is has anyone listed the differences between 2014 and 2017 models? I'm not so much interested in "engine/performance" comparison as I am in "creature comforts". For example is there a specific year when curb cameras were first available, or some other feature that people find very useful.
When I begin my search for trade-ins next month (from people upgrading to 2018 models), which year do you think has an advantage for useful daily features?
Thanks in advance.

MY2015 bundled the Performance Data Recorder in with navigation. MY2016 added in Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and the front parking cameras you mentioned.

I think he was asking about C7 info.
Get a 16 or newer with the 2LT package. It will have all the creature comforts you will need.

As far as I can tell, the only major differences are apple CarPlay and front bumper cameras which both started in 2016

From 2016 to 2019, the C7's are, beyond color options, essentially the same - 2018 brought a slightly higher resolution back-up camera and the reintroduction of HD radio (previously available in 2014 & 2015).
Personally I like the front cameras (only with 2LT & 3LT), and for a daily driver in the PNW, heated seats might be nice - so I would look for a 2LT.

Ok so I just picked up my 2018 Thursday, and have not looked extensively at the infotainment manual, but cannot see the HD radio on the screen. Do you know how to access?
Thanks, Dan

On my '14 that has HD radio and the hard drive (great for rewinding the traffic report, BTW) the HD is automatic - you will see "acquiring HD signal" and when that signal is strong enough you will see the HD on the display. You will hear quite a difference as well. On both AM and FM.

With the quick change-over to the '19MY after the new plant came back on line, I suspect it will show up in 19s, but that order listing is not yet out. I think it's due out next week.
I don't think HD radio is that much better. In my '14, and depending upon signal strength, the HD signal cuts in and out, and when it's out, I don't hear a lot of difference been std. and HD.

'14 had the A6 automatic transmission all other years automatics are A8 transmissions.I think I read that on '16 or '17 there was an important improvement to the automatic transmission cooling and another improvement on '18 to the automatic transmission software and hardware. There where also some complaints by some '17 owners about some failure on the electric steering wheel apparently GM changed some components on the steering wheel or something like that.

Personally, if I were looking for a daily driver w/ few issues and most everything you'd want "creature comfort-wise", I'd be looking for a low mileage 2014 (whatever 1LT-2LT-3LT). Especially if you want an automatic. A6 over A8 all day long for daily driving reliability IMO. A 1LT is a superbly optioned car as is.

My '14 Z51 A6 automatic its great, no complains as long as I don't take it to tracking because the automatic transmission would overheat

My 2014 2LT, 7 speed, has everything I need and I drive it everyday..
If you are looking for more features and comfort, buy a Cadillac!

All of you guys are harping on the poor guy for not driving his C6 that much, but I think the entire point of his post is that he wants to get a C7 with more creature comforts so that he can use the car on a daily basis.

I just looked at the window stickers for both my 2014 and 2018 and neither show HD radio as part of the equipment. The Infotainment Manual for the 2018 shows HD radio instructions. I haven't looked really played with it in my car.
