Should I just accept this paint issue?

Get it touched up and move on...life's too short to worry about such minuscule things. Your car will endure much worse as time goes by.

Sorry to hear you are having repeated problems with the paint issue.
There is no doubt the bumper cover needs to come off to both repair the paint defects and reinstall to get the proper margin.
Personally , I would at this point go back to the dealer and request a meeting with the general manager or shop foreman. I would review the history and tell them that the solution to fix this issue on your new car would be for the dealership to order a new factory painted front bumper cover and have an experienced body man do the install.I think you are owed that.
If the dealer tries to tell you that the factory will not send a painted panel just show them copies of posts from this forum where some members have reported that is exactly how their car was repaired.
Best of luck with the repairs.

I had no clue you could order a factory painted cover. I'll have to see if I can find those posts.
I have the GM's cell number and have worked with him in the past on purchasing. I've been working with the service manager. I do appreciate the effort the dealership has made. It's the sub contractor they use that seems to have issues. I'm certain that the issues are unique to a corvette, as they are a fairly large body shop. I'm sure they just aren't used to dealing with corvettes or their "picky" owners. lol
We will see how it all works out. I can't argue with the life's too short comment though. That was a driving factor in me getting the car while I can still enjoy it.

You did not pay for it looking that way, so don't accept that! It may be minor to some people but if it was mine I would take it back. I had the same issues and took it back to get it repaired.

Just hit it with some touch up paint and move on. The more they "F" with it, the more can happen. Trust me, you'll be the only one that knows it's there.

Fcal, that's the problem. I will always see it. lol. I'm one of those. The guy that can't not look at something once I see it. I do agree that the more they touch it the more could go wrong.

It is really unfortunate to say this but-----sometimes it is better to live with small paint problems and do the best to touch up yourself than to give it to body shop people who sometimes create other problems in trying to get the small issue perfectly corrected.

Went back to dealer today. Service manager agreed that it wasn't right and will call paint shop monday. We agreed that once the appointment was set I would drop off and pick up as soon as it's done so I'm not without car for too long. I really appreciate the dealership. Just wish they had a paint shop. The Saga Continues...

I would see if their body shop guys can repair in place. The more they R&R these panels the more likely you will have problems. They may can touch it up without removing. My previous 16 had the rear R&R and it didn't line up correctly and had a couple scraped places and I wouldn't accept it and they kept it a week but it was right when I got it back. Bummer good luck

I would take it back and continue to do so until all the issues are corrected.

I was going to say just touch it up and don't worry about it, until i saw the chunk missing on the end. Is that very noticeable in real view, or is it exacerbated because of the zoomed in pic? If not noticeable, i'd just touch it up. just my 2 cents. good luck.

I think you need to find a tech who knows what they're doing...I had no rubbing in this area upon delivery, and had the front bumper removed for headlight replacement and still no rubbing...In my opinion, it's all in the skill and care exercised by the tech...I have a great one...
Good luck...
