Black is just a fad that will die out in a couple years, chrome has always been around and will stay in my opinion.

Reading some of these comments...

You know that most non-black wheels are not "chrome" right?

"Chrome" is the stuff that went out of style in the 90s.

"Silver" wheels are perfectly fine.

All C7 wheels are perfectly fine (except for their tendency to crack if driven on too rough surfaces in the performance modes) some folks just prefer one style over another which is also fine.

Chrome has been used as a desired design element for cars/trucks/bikes since it's inception and always will be a popular design element (if not the most popular) as this and other wheel/chrome/black threads have confirmed.

I think there is one post here where the guy was going to go with black wheels till he seen the car with chrome.

Yes sir MR. Ken. They are heavily invested in the Corvette business. Lots of new and used. They fix the old ones-just did a frame swap on a C2 that was impressive. I'm very happy with the deal on the C7.

Cup wheels are a C6 ZR1 and Now GS thing and I like them too but they are not fitting on the C7.

I like the black wheels better than the heavy chromes and they are not the identical car.
I like the machined look which the fad now!

I agreee with you completely, the machined faced wheels are the best of both worlds. I am seeing more and more of this mixing and it works!
( my last C7 had black, and my C6 was Chrome, loved them both )

Get your chrome wheels while you can. The C8 and beyond will not offer them. No serious performance automobile offers factory chrome. Only Corvette. Its tacky and way out of place on the modern car. Especially performance cars.

100% I can say the black wheels look better then the chrome in this pic.
I see a corvette with chrome wheels, I think 1 of 3 things. Really old, no taste or a combo of both.
