Default Corvette Battery Tender

Using trunk receptacle, where do u guys run your wires? I ran between decklid and qtr panel - tight fit & don't want to jack up the finish/clearcoat

Ideas or better options?

I use a large microfiber to protect the paint from the wire connection.

Yeah, the battery tender wire is quite snug with the hatch closed.

So, I bought at 10ft 12v extender socket and plugged it in the back hatch and led the wire out the passenger window that is a crack open at the top to not pinch the extension wire. I then just plug my battery tender into the extension socket.

Works for me.

The lights will turn off after about 15 minutes though.

Default Very simple

Hi folks

I am a firm believer on a battery maintainer during the winter.
The GM delco battery on my C6 lasted about 3 years....had trouble finding a new delco battery......wanted to keep it original....invested in a battery tender and 6 years later when I sold it it was still strong...I connected my tender to the terminals with a plug in clip that was provided with the tender..

My C7 has the lighter socket in the trunk that has power all the time...I just plug in the GM tender and run the cable out through the rear of the trunk....no problem..plenty of room for the cable..

I know some don’t believe it but shutting the hatch or trunk on the OEM charger wires won’t pinch or harm the wire or rubber seal.

I just leave the passenger window down 0.25 inch and pass the wire through and plug into the rear socket.

No photo, you'll have to use your imagination.

I used to leave the rear hatch open until a mouse got in last year. I did not find any damage only 2 acorns so i now close the hatch on the cable and no damage.
