Using your cell phone while driving is just as bad as being drunk.

Don't.

You have bluetooth.

Another vote for ProClip. I use that with a magnet to hold my phone in place. Cleanest mounting setup I've seen.

Or just use it with Android Auto on the big screen...

Of course I like Google Maps way better anyway... Oh and ditch that dumb iPhone...

Being the cup holder won't hold any cups without tipping, I took out the divider and put my cell phone in there.

That's right. No need to see the phone. I had a friend who has a machine shop make the following piece for me.

Obviously you guys that stow your phone don’t have a need to have Waze in your countermeasure suite. Enjoy the speed limit 😬

Default Common Sense

I don't use my cell phone in the car. No conversation worth dying for. You or me.

How did you attach the Scosche to the Pro clip bracket? Also seeing this post is older, how did it hold up over time?

I just picked up the new WeatherTech cup / cell phone holder.

Was tired of launching the car and watching the phone fly back into the hatch area!

I use a Nillkin vent mount wireless magnetic charger attached to the power port ("cigarette lighter") cover. I run a short USB cable from the USB power adapter in the power port to the charger (can't see the cable when the phone is mounted). I can just drop my phone on the charger and I'm ready to go.
I have a 2015 so I don't have Android Auto/Car Play. If I did I'd have a wired solution.

ProClip user here... have used them in all my vehicles for several years, very high quality unit. My '14 doesn't have CarPlay so I use the mount for Waze and Harry's Lap Timer on track. The C7 version doesn't hold as well as I would like. In comparison the one in my truck (Dodge Dakota) is rock solid. With some foam and double stick tape I think the C7 version can be improved.

I also agree with this. They just changed the law where I live (finally in a good way).

For the first offence of distracted driving: $1000 fine, 3 day suspension
Second offence: $2000 fine, 7 day suspension
Third offence: $3000 fine, 30 day suspension

How does the magnetic style work? Do you need to buy a case for the phone that has a magnet on the back, or does the product come with two magnets, one that is on the base and one that you stick on to the back of the phone with double-sided tape?
