I told him don't. What would you do??

Good suggestion. It also might make sense for him to wait at least a week to make the decision, just so he isn't reacting out of his initial disappointment.
I'm assuming he bought the car used without seeing a window sticker, which would have detailed its equipment.

Tell him about these, would be cheaper than taking a trade in hit. http://www.dscsport.com/product/trac...c7-rt-package/.

Safety Car
Friend of mine found out his 16’ Z51 does not have mag ride after he was under the impression when he first bought it it did. He bought this car 6 months ago and is debating trading it in for a car with it. They are gonna kill him on trade...
I told him it’s probably better to live without it then to take that kind of a hit on the same car he has unless he wants a wide body, but he doesn’t. What would you guys do???

BTW you do realize that "It’s one of those “ I don’t have it so I’m mad now” type of things I think.." looks like crap. Why do you keep typing "’"? Just type '

Finalist 2020 C7 of the Year -- Unmodified
Sounds like your friend is having MAG RIDE buyers remorse. My 2005 C6 Z51 was so harsh riding compared too my 2003 C5 50th Ann that had mad ride that I traded in my 2005 for a 2006 with mag ride. What a difference in ride quality. If he trades his car in make sure you go with him and tell him what else he is not getting on the C7 so he will not have buyers remorse again. In the end it his money and if he can afford to do it and it will give him instant gratification he should.

To keep my Z51. Mine comes without the magnetic shocks and is a great car to drive in any road, and this comes from a previous owner of a '14 Camaro ZL1 which comes standard with the magnetic shocks. I thought that I was going to miss them, and not at all.

Jesus, it's only money, and his money at that. If he want's mag ride, he should get it. Life it too short to spend months dithering over "am I happy?"
Me? I drove both (mag and non mag Z51), it was a simple choice. Get the mag ride. Those of you that didn't get it and are happy? Great for you... Mag ride is better. (yes, that's my opinion,) But for a cost difference of $2K (roughly on a $70K plus car, it's not anything major...

We need all the deals we can get so our kids have a good Christmas. Tell him to trade it now or forever be unhappy.

I thought I had to have Mag Ride when i was vette shopping until I drove some C7s. Straight z51 and I have zero regrets. Funny he didn't notice until now....cause its not that rough of a ride on Z51.
