Default Help: Vert Top Leaking Hydraulic Fluid

Just bought my 2016 Vert 7900 miles. About the 4th time I have dropped the top and it started spraying hydraulic fluid all over the passenger side seat. Anyone have this problem or have an idea what happened? Very frustrating...just got the car and already problems. Thanks

You pinched a rubber hose. Take it to the dealer under warranty. Several have posted on this problem with verts.

I have the top of my 4 year old 2014 vert up and down daily and have had no issues. Hope you get yours taken care of without issue.

You might want to get them to replace the seat too.

My '14 did the same a month ago at 13k miles on the odo. Hydraulic line broke and had to be replaced under warranty. Seat cleaned up completely.

Another thing to think about for us Vert owners. Bring it to the dealer and let them deal with it and hope it didn't get on the rug. Honestly first time I heard of this.

Thanks. How long was it at the dealer for repair?

I think if you operate your Top when moving it will twist the Top more than you need too.Just thinking this could cause anything to loosen, break or other issue's in time?
Manual sez it's ok to operate the Top up to 35 MPH.No Thanks,I'll stop

I am with you on this. Fastest I chosen to do it is around 20 mph. Not going to chance anything faster.

Still NG.Just think,If you hit a variation in the surface your car is moving on.While top is off it's Stops.
These cars feel everything.Any,will transfer to that frame of the Top.Why have additional shifting if not really needed.Just thinking in the long haul.

Same here, never over 20mph, and that was only once or twice. I am normally at a complete stop when I move the top...

It was at the dealer for a week, but they were waiting on parts for the hydraulic line and a brownstone interior piece that needed replacing.

My 2017 had this happen (passenger side). They said it was an improperly routed hydraulic line and it was fixed under warranty. The seat cleaned up fine. The issue I now have is that it sounds like there's an air leak from behind the passenger's head. I've taken it in three times and they just say "that's normal it's a convertible". I told them it's not normal, it wasn't delivered like this from the factory, and I'd like it fixed...it certainly wasn't like this when I brought it to you to fix the leak. The dealer still says there's nothing wrong so the fight Continues...

True this. I don't make a habit out of it. Only if the light turns green and I am close to the end of the cycle.
