Default Great!

Just what I was looking for! Now we will be able to place my wheel chair on a carrier. We have been using our Equinox for all our transportation needs. Our two Vettes for the most part just sat in the garage, now we can take the 2017 GSCE to the 24 hours at Daytona.

C7 should have come with a standard hitch receiver inset into the rear crossmember behind the license plate for just such reasons. Most particularly if they're trying to appeal to younger buyers, that would allow rear mounted ski and bike racks.

LOVE it! thanks for sharing.

Every sporty car forum is full of idiots who are quick to join the peanut gallery whenever a towing question comes up. Trust me, I know from having put trailer hitches on more than one AMG. I also own a Ford Raptor and tow with that, but I would totally put a trailer hitch on my vette to tow my Aprilia /Ducati to the track every oce in a while.

Because I can.

Wheel chair installed, back from Daytona. Race was a different story, but it was great to take the vette.

I'm putting a hitch on my Corvette. Right after I put a supercharged, nitro methane engine in my Prius ...

Not something I would do to my own C7, but that's about the neatest set-up I have seen.

Chair is even color coordinated. You can't beat that.

I don't understand why people get so butt hurt over this its a proposeful mod especially for folks that require a wheel chair, I bet if a handicapped person did it first there would be near all this whining about it. Congrats to the YouTuber that did this and please no offense to handicap folks while I'm handicapped myself I'm not restricted to wheel chair so please keep driven'em like you stole'em!!!

Exactly! I installed a Class IV, hitch on my $40K 1983 Mercedes Benz sedan. The C7 Corvette police should mind their own business.

I think this is a great idea and I am hoping to see this feature on the Mid-engine C8. As a matter of fact, I should PM Chazcron and ask him to render in a trailer hitch on his next rendering.

I wonder if pg 217 of owners manual get them off the hook for any remaining 5/60 power-train warranty.

Towing Information
The vehicle is neither designed nor intended to tow a trailer.

That is exactly what I need .Allthough I don't plan on pulling a trailer I will install one of those trailer hitch racks to put a wagon and a duffle bag on

I am going to purchase the parts to get this started , how hard is it to remove the lower bumper cover

Great video!
Don't know why some other posters got their shorts in a knot!

I fabricated a hitch for my C6 that I used with a small trailer!

Those that are not mechanically inclined will really cringe when they see where I stored the trailer! No problem, just have to be sure the heavy screw thread hooks are dead center in the 2X6 ceiling cross beams and use a combo of multi sheave pullies. That mades a 4 fold reduction in load on each end so you're only lifting ~1/8 the trailer weight with each pull. Note double cleats are used on the wall to hold the ropes!

Yep and the GM lawyers say "Do not drive below 40 F!" Perhaps the car does not have enough power!

In his case just have to keep the license plate on when being serviced!

Great job, well done...but I agree some type of product to protect lower bumper from chain rash would be required.

Default 4 wheel drive

I am waiting for Bowling Green to offer a 4 wheel drive option. I would like it with Wern lockout hubs. That way I can tow my trailer through the mud!
