Default 2015 Stingray - only 2 tail pipes?

Hello,

I have a 2015 stingray and it only has two tailpipes sticking out the back (not 4). It runs great and sounds amazing but every other stingray I see has the 4 polished exhaust tips

Is this stock but missing tips or any ideas?

Definitely not stock, but can't even begin to venture a guess as to what. Pics of the rear would be helpful.

If it sounds great, then I wouldn't worry about it unless the look really bothers you.

No, they are not. OP stated only 2 exhaust tips out the back. All stock C7 exhaust (NPP and non-NPP) have 4 tips.

The pics in the link look like stock, and FOR SALE.

eta: the OP clearly has non stock, the link is stock.

Definitely NOT the stock mufflers.

Looks like someone removed the stock mufflers and grafted in what LOOKS like some Flowmaster mufflers instead.

Not to pile on, but I regret to say it looks like a sub-standard job... harnesses appear to pinched (maybe its just the photo angle), rusty generic hangers, rusty mis-sized clamps, and some sort of Home Depot aluminum angle to keep it all in place.

Sorry, I misread c54u's post. I thought he was saying the OP's exhaust were stock non-NPP. My bad.

Besides the less than perfect job installing them are Flowmaster bad? The car sounds really good. I would like to have the 4 polished tips. Would I need to replace everything or suggestions to make it look better?

NPP is the Performance Exhaust option. Non-NPP would mean that it does not have the NPP option. The NPP exhaust has 2 additional valves located after the mufflers near one of the exhaust tips on each side. When these valves open, the path through the mufflers bypasses most of the noise deadening material. Increases loudness and adds 5 HP/5 TQ.

Just looking at the pic, it clearly says Flowmaster, so that ain’t stock.

The NPP is the optional performance exhaust. (Basically built in zoomie valves)

No, not bad at all. Just the opposite in fact.

NPP is the RPO (the code for every option a car may have) code for the butterfly valves that allow the exhaust to change tone/volume.

Go to a muffler shop or performance shop and they can easily set you up with something like the following:

Lots of possibilities:

To the OP...I hope you are able to get your chrome tips back in there. I would probably do it even if it meant going back to all stock.

Heck...even if it ran and sounded good, it scary to think that someone actually thought that looked good the way it does in the first pic.

Nothing wrong with Flowmaster; they’re very popular with the muscle car crowd.

If you’re going to keep the current setup, I’d probably just replace the clamps with stainless, just to clean it up. Don’t think it would be worth re-architecting the whole thing. I’m sure you can find some split tips to attach to the twin pipes if that’s the look you like.

The question is, what else have they done to the car. If they slapped on the exhaust, what else was hacked?
