AS3+ ZPs are available in both base car OEM 18/19" sizes (245/40-18 and 285/35-19), as well as Z51 OEM 19/20" sizes (245/35-19 and 285/30-20).

I have the Z51 sizes on my car right now, and alternate w/ the PSS in the summer.

Mine were gripping great down to 5 degrees last winter, and that was as low as we got.

I'm at 35K on my set of A/S 3+ (non-RF's on a '15 Z51) with maybe 10K life left in them....so by summer of next year, I will be shopping for another set. Love the tires, traction is defiantly less than the OEM and should be expected due to the 500 UTOG Vs 300 of the OEM's.

Do these have the same side profile as the OEM summer only run flats?

Yes they do. The sidewalls look almost identical and only the tread pattern varies.

Since I have both sets, I stacked both a front and rear mounted PSS on top of the mounted AS3+ counterpart. Dimensions were identical.

As Foosh said, yes. They even have the same Michelin logo and lettering. Unless you look at the tread pattern or notice the "AS 3" on the sidewall you can't tell the difference.

Yes, starting in '18, but most people replacing tires won't have a 2018 yet.

The 17's with mag ride got 'automatically' upgraded to 19/20, This was unbundled in the 8's making the corresponding car about $2K cheaper for the newer model. Go figure. I changed my tires out a couple months ago (also Discount Tire: Great people, excellent pricing.) It may be my imagination, but the new tires appear to be quieter than the OEMs overall. And the cold start 'scrunch' is gone. I know that wasn't hurting anything, but it surely was disconcerting. ("No, sweetie, nothing is wrong. Really!")

Honestly, I don't feel any trade off on any of what you say above, except perhaps in very hot conditions. On the average day below 70 or so, I think handling, grip, and throttle confidence are all better. In normal street driving, in warm temps, they are about the same, and only on the track with hot tires would one see a performance trade-off.

Below 60, you see a remarkable improvement in performance. Someone commented recently that even Spring Mountain is now testing AS3+ tires for school use. That should tell you an awful lot.

Exactly what I kept hearing from various Vette salesmen when I inquired about All-Season tires for the car so I could drive it throughout the winter (not in the snow, just cold temps). If you've all heard that Michelin has been saying "soon" forever, then, what I heard was probably true.

What's up, Michelin? Why the delay?

Had mine put on Monday. I had great luck with Michelin Pilot Sport AS ZP on my 2008 coupe so went with the AS+ 3 ZP's on my 2016 base coupe. They are fantastic tires for a DD on the street.

Most likely because the demand for such a tire in those sizes is very low.

Steve, did you run the OE Summer Only tires through the past Winters?

Did you get a Tire Rack cost comparison quote? Discount Tires matched Tire Rack's lower price for my last set of new Michelins I bought.

I was on my second set on my C5, will definitely go with them when the C7 needs tires.

I've had my A/S3's on for a few months now and while I haven't pushed the car much, just the peace of mind knowing I'm prepared for the cold and rain here in the soggy Northwest makes them worthwhile. What, me worry?

I did run the OE tires the last 2 winters. I didn’t drive in snow or ice, or if it was below 20 degrees and had no problems. Discount here has treated me more than fair over many years here, so when they gave me a price for these that was very competitive I didn’t try to get them to come down more.
