Thanks for going easy on me Thunder!
It's actually a Jewish thing. And it's in multiples of 18.

[QUOTE=Patman;1596220668]I've never heard of that tradition, and I'm Italian too!

I have and have been doing it since I was a young My father did it with his 66 mustang when he bought it.
Congrats on the Vette

We just have to make it through 5 more Ontario winters and then starting in 2022 we'll be down there in Florida every year through the nasty season!

I think you're saying it's in multiples of 18 when the buyer or change tosser is Jewish. When Italians do it, the "rules" are just all silver no pennies, you toss it on the front passenger floor, and the owner isn't supposed to pick it up off the floor, just let it settle under the mat. I think different people have different rules

Congrats Pat. Nothing like getting a new car spec'd exactly like you want it. Are you going to get the free oil changes or do it yourself?

Looks great!

I see you still have the rubber strips under the front bumper. Will you be removing them when you lower your car?

I installed the GM OEM splash guards (hardly can notice them) to protect the sides and after 8000 km, I have no visible nicks or dings on the sides of the car. A 10 minute install my garage and it was good to go.

I'm not sure yet. All along I had instructed them not to install those, but when the tech was doing the PDI he told my salesman that he highly recommended installing them, something about a skid plate that attaches to them? I just didn't want to argue about it (and I was super excited to get the car) so I told them to go ahead and install them.

When I lower the car, if I have trouble scraping on my driveway or going up my Race Ramps, then I'll definitely remove them then, otherwise I'll leave them on. I actually prefer the look of the car WITH them on by the way, so if they come off eventually it'll strictly be a clearance issue.

What color are those seats? I love them. The only reason I did not get bright Red is that I did not like any of the seat color options. Mine is 2017.

They are the light gray seats, I'm surprised more people don't order them, especially since it also gives the gray carpets (and yes, those will show dirt easier but a ton of Corvette owners won't drive in rain ever so that shouldn't be an issue for most)

So how many times have you gone out to the garage to look at it since you got home?

Congrats! Beautiful looking Corvette. Hopefully there be a early spring. 89 days til spring( calendar date ) not that I'M counting . At least it's in your garage and you can look and talk to it each time you walk by to get the snow blower out. ENJOY!

I spent a half hour inside the garage last night going over the car with detailing spray and cleaning the wheels, then before I went to bed I went in there again and said good night to it And when I left for work this morning I poked my head in there once more I was happy to see my garage is a decently warm 60 degrees so it'll be comfortable for me to do some more detailing on it tonight

Cool beans. Best color interior ever, IMHO.

Also, lots of cool going on in the background. Lots of Caddys and another vette. Is that a combo Chevy/Caddy dealer? Is there even such a thing?
