How should I install these mods? (Optic fiber - ambient lighting)
you can search for these items by googling optic fiber ambient.
It says i have to wire it up to 12 v wires to keep it turned on. In most case they just hook it up to the interior light wires inside of door trim.
and here is my plan of how i'm gonna install it
* The yellow doodle-ish line. I know, i know i suck. But let's move on.
Well the problem is, i opened up door trim panels but there were no light wires to hook it up. Just wires for windows and door opening, that was it. Have anyone installed any interior ambient light mods on your vette before? I've been searching for weeks but i could not find how to install it.
I want to leave it to professionals but the professionals doesn't know much about corvette because i'm in South Korea. Not in US. We do have chevy dealership in here but They don't import C7 Corvettes so i brought my vette through gray importer. My best shot is learn how-to s and translate for mechanics. And I'm asking for help. Desperately.

Carnelian89: There are 12V power sources under the dash (switched, part of the lighting circuits, etc). It's unlikely (as I think you've seen) that there are some exactly where you'll need them. I would look to where the existing lights are in the footwell, find those wires and tap into them. You'd then have to route those wires to where you need them to be to power these lights.
So my thinking would be to get them in place so you know where you need the wires to go and then find your route to get the power there. It may require a bit of disassembly to do that though, not sure.
All others:
It's unfortunate everyone has to go on the attack. The person is from a different country than most of us, there may be some language barriers and different trends on what people are doing to their cars, etc.
I've joined and been on forums where I just make my first post because I have a question about something I'm doing. I'm not a troll because I don't sit and follow the forums daily. I'm not a troll because I don't post all the time. If you go look at the Jeep forums you might see a couple posts from me, but that is it, and it's only because I'm trying to fix something.
Just don't get why if people don't have an answer to a simple question, why they can't just move on. You don't have to express your opinion on every little post.
Seems like people are very quick to say they think it sucks or they would never put it on their car....but when people ask opinions about stuff people are told, what matters is what you like.

Uh, this really doesn’t qualify as something for which you “desperately” need help.
Flat tire? Stuck in a ditch? Run out of gas? Car won’t start? Had an injury accident? Those are instances when you really desperately need help. Not installing fiber optic light strips.
Get a grip.

There is a 12v switched source in the console. The cigarette lighter is Switched 12v and not that hard to get to. I tapped it for my radar detector before we found out how to get 12v from the mirror. You will need to lift the console up some to get to the lighter plug that is under the arm rest of the console.
Take off console door. (3 or 4 screws)
Remove top left piece of trim (our steering in on the left so I'm talking driver's knee rubs against the trim piece, it pulls off horizontally to the left door. Front has a "tip" don't pull off at the front. Start near the arm rest door and pry off. Tip needs to come out last and be first in when you reassemble)
Lift console with trim tool so that you get a clean shot at the wire. Tap the wire for 12v/switched.

Someone is trying to tell you something when you saw no wires. DO NOT DO THIS MOD. It's a C7 Stingray, don't turn it into a Civic Si. That lighting would be a travesty. Return it now!

OP is in South Korea. He can do what he wants to HIS car. He asked for a 12v source. He got it.

How many of these agree guys can I put in? I started out checking these forums quite a bit when I got my GS, but after seeing an overwhelming number of post from the exact kind of arrogant folks I hate to meet at a car show or club meeting, I've cut back to 'trolling' only when looking for a specific answer for something.
I love my Vette, but it's just a combination of metal and plastic for the most part. And hell, a decently equipped Tahoe will set you back the same amount of $$ so you can't play the rich-kid card. It's great if you want to keep your princess bone-stock, under a cover in the garage, and only take it out to lovingly wash and wax it after a cruise at 15mph around your gated neighborhood, but why the hell do you care what someone else does to the vehicle they paid for?
Whatever happened to common courtesy?

You can tap on fuse 37 in the trunk. It is a switched power supply.

Well stated Jake! I personally don't care for the look of this sort of ambient lighting but the only thing that means is it won't be in my Z06.
How would folks react on here if 20 and 30 year old owners start complaining that old guys should buy a Buick sedan and leave the Corvette to people who haven't been around for half a century or more. That comment is no less and no more stupid and rude than some of those in this thread. And for the record I passed the half century mark 7 years ago
Your comments on pricing are also well placed. The GMC Sierra 3500 pickup I am ordering has a MSRP only about $12,000 less than my very well equipped 2016 Z06 and you could easily add a few more options and accessories to the pickup to get it nearly equal to the Z06 price. There are a lot of expensive GM vehicles and the Chevrolet High Country trim level pickup is virtually the same price as the Denali and a lot more expensive than many Corvette builds. I use three different dealers for my different makes of GM vehicles and the service is pretty much the same from all three, never truly bad nor spectacular but usually pretty good. My Cadillac dealer is also a Chevrolet dealer and the customers in the service waiting area get the same snacks, Starbucks coffee served by dealer personnel, and comfortable seating whether they purchased the cheapest Chevrolet sub-compact or the most expensive Cadillac Escalade.
