Black Rose Owners - Does the Paint Show Flaws Easily?
For those with knowledge of or owning the Black Rose Vettes, does the paint show the flaws easily like black does or is it more forgiving?

I would say that it does. Especially if it is heavily waxed and very shiny. It almost looks like black in low light conditions. Also shows very bad orange peel ( if you have it ). It's most definitely an attention getting colour.

Beautiful color and Criswell had a Black Rose Z06 convertible that was nearly identically equipped to my Arctic White when I bought.
It really is very nice and thought about it due to the very low production numbers (numbers wise, the AW is the most common) but in the end was a little too dark. I'm a bit too OCD and just couldn't go with a dark car again. Just something for me about a white 'Vette...
Good luck with your decision!

I think the paint is pretty forgiving. I particularly like that rubber marks from track debris is hard to see until you wash the car. Bright colors would make it very obvious.
I ordered our Z06 in BRM without having seen one. Couldn't be more pleased. Bright red was my initial choice until I saw this in the brochure. Decided I wanted something a little more subtle. What you see varies a lot depending on the light. If it is cloudy/twilight, it is virtually black. In bright sun it looks like embers in a campfire.
I must have got lucky because our Z has no flaw in the paint that I can find.

Owned a black Camaro SS, the brm to me is more forgiving than plain black...but my buddies black c7 in background is the cleanest black I’ve seen in years!

I love the Black Rose Metallic. I have not found the slightest flaw in my paint. The car looks amazing in our bright Arizona sunshine but when it’s dark I love the way it looks totally black. It looks amazing under bright lights.

Typically dark colors (especially blacks) will show imperfections (swirl marks, chips/nicks) more than lighter colors.

This is true. However, I had a 1994 Black Rose coupe and loved the color. I did not find it was terrible concerning showing swirls or chips - but mine was not a daily driver either.
