If it helps.. Carbon Flash is just a fancy name for metallic gloss black. It's a borderline metallic charcoal, when you look at it up close in the sunlight.
If you ordered your car with the carbon flash badge and mirror package RPO EYT I believe, I feel the stripe would look best in carbon flash.
If you have shiny emblems and body colored spoiler and mirrors, then either color would like fine (carbon flash or matte).
Being a glossy vinyl, it would take wax just fine.

The satin black stripes look good on the gray. I have been thinking of doing this on my Shark Gray Stingray. Do you have a pic of the stripes on the back side of the car?

I wasn't a huge fan of stripes, period.Till i saw this Winner on the lot.Carbon Flash to match all the other CF Area's.Kind of ghostly in certain light. The waterfall area between the seats...RETARDED...Sold
The factory did a great job on the install.Pictures do this combo. no justice.
Good luck on your choice.I would have to see what i'm buying.
I guess if your happy with photo's you'll be blown away with the Real Deal

Both my daughter and I are leaning towards the satin black, but if it’s a royal PITA to keep it matte finished, I might lean the other way.
2007 Atomic Orange with my daughter driving.

Thanks JNess. I’m going to get the black wheels and minimize the shiny stuff. Sort of how I ordered my Atomic Orange 2007 back in the day. I miss that vette! Do you know if they put the stripe on the transparent glass Roof or not?

The detail spray never caused any shiny spots, or any chalk like residue. Just do a google search for matte vinyl detail or cleaner. You would just have to be careful when applying a paste wax. Blue masking tape would be helpful.
As to the stripes on the transparent roof. I doubt they would apply them there without being specifically asked.

Chemical Guys makes a detail spray designed for Matte Vinyl. I had good luck just using Meguier's quick detail on my old car that was wrapped in satin vinyl.

Hey Juliet, just a thought as you make your decision; When I had my cars front end covered with Suntech paint protection film, I asked the installer if they can go right over the stripes and his answer was "As long as the stripes are shiny" I was pleased at that point that I had the carbon flash stripes and not the matte finish stripes! Good luck on your choice!!
