ZO6 Rear Vents Installed
The install was very straight forward after watching the youtube video...
about 15 minutes a side. I do have a few tips:
1. Keep track of your fender spacers, my car had a few on both sides
2. you need a trim tool to pop back in the fender under the edge closest to the rear hatch
3. Make sure the body of car is warm, my garage is heated made this step easy.
4. Installed the Zo6 rear lights and vents at the same time, removing the rear bumper would make the vent install a bit easier.

Seriously? 15 minutes per side? I would think (for those like me that don't want to risk it) that this would be a fairly inexpensive dealer install option then? May I ask where you got the vents and a link to the youtube?
Thanks for the info, love the look!

Looks great. What kind of rear spoiler do you have installed?

A local body shop recommended I remove the rear bumper, inner wheel liners, rockers and rear fenders. $550 in labor, took them to pound sand.
I purchased from Cultrag, $230 shipped , earned my business and would recommend paying the slight upcharge. I have purchased from other online retailers that take your money and tell you the part is not instock, than deal with credits , not cool.

Looks good..... and I can take the look from the back I think, at first I did not like how they stuck up, but it's growing on me. I'm waiting for a master fabricator friend to help me put them on, we are investigating for a way to modify the vent with a small set screw so it can be taken off from the top for cleaning.

Given how these increase air flow through the vents, and thus improve the cooling to the diff/trans heat exchangers (and look great as well), I wonder if GM will make these factory stock on the Stingray in the future.

But I do understand keeping the models visually distinguished. Just seems like there are plenty of other visual cues b/n the two that do that just fine. This here is a good upgrade that improves mechanical performance.

Video makes me wonder how the fender can flex that much and not risk breaking something at the rear or along the bottom of the fender. Obviously, the fender was design to mount without having the bend it to fit under the side window or put stress on any of the other mounting points.

I did NOT use a screw driver or pull the fender back and forth like the video. I popped it off with my hand and squeezed my arms under in to pull it off. The bolts used were long and easy to grip with your fingers.

Yes, installed it myself and tinted the tail lights. Im getting new wheels in few weeks, along with photo shoot for the wheel company. I will be sure to post the images.

Just ATTEMPTED to install my Z06 vents and I could not get it released from the below the rear mirror. I attempted to pry something between, but I'm too worried of breaking the plastic. I don't know if mine has some extra adhesive that dripped down on the quarter panel??
Did you just removed the 8 bolts and 12 bolts ONLY or was there any loosening of the rear bumper, etc???
