I assume we have AGM batteries in the trunk? My car is sitting for a few weeks for some work. Deltran's website says my model is OK for acid and maintenance free, but the side of the unit says "charge only lead acid type batteries. Other types may burst"

OEM batteries are lead acid. Any tender will work.

Thanks guys. Have it hooked up in the trunk with the clips. Ordered the cigarette adapter. Closing hatch all the way is really tight on the edge of the quarter. One click on the hatch seems to work... will keep rodents out and not out any pressure on the quarter edge.

I bought the cigarette adapter for my Battery Tender Plus about a week after I bought my car. It works great.

I hook it up at the battery terminal on the alternator...under the hood.

Any one of the 3 methods to hook up a CTEK or Battery Tender work equally well. Alligator clips on battery, direct connect, and using the 12v hot plug in the trunk are all the same. The 12V trunk/hatch plug itself is direct-wired to the battery.

Some folks have had problems getting a good/tight connection using the 12v plug, but that's relatively rare.

Battery Tender Jr., or the up charge cost CTEK model that operates in several modes as the Battery Tender Jr. as in the OP?

Must have 12v hot plug-in to C7 rear plug.
