Personally, I'm always considering resale value when I purchase a vehicle, so tend to stick to silver, black, red and white especially when purchasing classic sportscars.
My reasoning being that most anyone will purchased a sportscar in the above four colors, however when you get into the yellows, greens, oranges and even blues you really cut your potential market for sale down.

An exception to this would be IF DSOM were available when I purchased my '17 GS I may have broken my rule.

I realize that Corvette Racing Yellow is not for everyone.
However, when I leave a parking lot people actually stop
and stare as the car passes. I've had red and gray vettes,
but this beauty is a serious head turner. I didn't spend this
kind of cash based on what other people think or if some
potential buyer might not like the color. My wife and I
love it and that is all that matters. With that said, I have
never seen a C7 that I did not like regardless of color.

Yellow is like a manual transmission or convertible upon resale; much less popular overall but a must have for those who like them. One must just find the correct buyer.

I always loved yellow since 2001 but never bought one, well until 2017. I finally on my 3rd Corvette ordered yellow. Loved it for the first year then I was really sorry I had ordered it. It DID get old quickly. I was lucky to find a buyer and bought a 2019 Torch Red.

Lucky for me as Silver (not gray) is my favorite vehicle color so it's not like I had to sacrifice or settle for color others like in buying my C7 GS.
However when purchasing classics for enjoyment/investment the four colors I mentioned are typically easier to sell and also typically bring more $.
