Thinking about yellow
I am going to get a 2019 Z06, and am considering colors. I have always liked the Corvette Racing Yellow from a distance, but I don't know if it would get "old and overbearing" after a few months. Anyone on here that has yellow have an opinion, pro or con? I get that it's a personal thing, but figured someone else may have a similar thought.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I like yellow
Owned a yellow 350Z at one time - bought it at a huge discount, evidently because no one else wanted yellow and it sat on the dealers lot for well over a year. I miss having the color and only the $1000 upcharge kept me from ordering it on my 16 Stingray. If I live long enough to get another vette (I'm 80) yellow will be high on my list of color choices.

Of course everyone's taste is different. Speaking for myself.. CRY is the only color for me. I was originally shopping for a blue vette, the CRY just grabbed me and I knew I had to have it.
Hasn't gotten old yet. I bought it back in May.

Wife told me yellow was for 20 year olds....I’m a big corvette racing fan and like to stand out. Salesman knowing I don’t keep cars very long advised against yellow for trade/resale value. If you’re ok with that go for it....
Needless to say I’m awaiting a Watkins Glen Grey Vert GS.
Peace,
Don

I didnt have the new yellow I had an 08 Velocity yellow loved it. When we were looking for a C7 was looking for another Velocity Yellow or Orange . We found a Daytona Sunset Orange and bought that. But I would have another Yellow one in a second

To me it's the only proper color since it's the color Team Corvette races under. After a year of ownership I'd glad I got it, it looks awesome and I find it pretty easy to keep clean. They only make about 4% in yellow so it won't get lost in the sea of white, black, and gray ones. But it's definitely not for everyone.
To make sure it's the right decision, go to the dealership on Sunday (when it's closed) at different times of the day and look over the colors. See what it looks like in sun, clouds, night time, after a rain when it's dirty. That'll give you a good idea of what it will be like to live with.

My 01z06 was millennium yellow and I liked it. It’s a love it or hate it color. One weird thing I noticed was when parked outside in summer bugs would cover the thing.

I decided after decades of wanting a red Corvette to go to my local dealer to check it out. When I walked into the showroom the first thing I saw was a yellow one. First thing I said was, oh baby!
I went home and said to my wife who listened to me say for decades I wanted a red Vette that I was going to get it in yellow. You should have seen her face
I did end up getting my dream corvette in red but the yellow one is still an awesome color especially with lots of black accents. Accents like; black mirrors, black spoiler, black side skirts and splitter, and either black stripes or black stinger hood. And even though I’m a chrome rim guy black wheels are a must with yellow.

One other question. Does anyone have pictures of a CRY car with other than a black interior? I don’t like black leather during the summer, and this could be a deal-breaker on the color.

Yellow looks great on the C7. Especially with black wheels. However like Red it stands out a bit to much for me. I got WGG to blend in more.

Haven't had mine for very long (about 7 weeks) but I totally love the color and have no regrets. Like dgraham posted about his 350Z, mine was a leftover 2016 that had sat in the lot for over 2 years - the salesman said that that was owing to the color. So I totally get that resale / trade might be impacted. Right now that is far from mind!

Personally I think GM made a mistake going with CRY, I love my VY for 4 years now.

It's a sports car. It should be.... well.... sporty.
I'm on my third yellow. I've owned yellow since 2001.
The new yellow doesn't impress me as much as the VY does. It just doesn't pop like the velocity ones.
