Thinking about yellow
#42
While deciding which color I wanted to get, I had decided on one of four colors; white, blue, silver, or yellow. As I was showing the various colors to my wife at various dealerships, she looked at me and said, "I like them all and you know what ever color you want is fine with me, but.....I think the white and silver say that I'm an older guy that has finally gotten his Corvette. The blue and the yellow scream.....I'm a Bad *** Grandpa get out of my way!!"
Decision made. I was partial to the yellow and never looked back!!

I never EVER thought of owning a yellow car, really, Yellow... It had to be white, black, or red until I saw mine and they started offering me massive discounts.. It was completely stock 3LT Stingray, no tint, no black, just yellow everywhere..
I started looking at yellow and black pictures and fell in love..
I have it tinted, black spoiler and painting side skirts and a stripe from the front bumper to the rear window in Feb...
Once you own a yellow car you start seeing how boring all the other colors...
There is a warning that goes with owning one, Everyone see's you, and I mean EVERYONE including ALL Police but the flip side of this is you never lose you car in the parking lot

I think the yellow really "pops" - but just could not pull the trigger on it for myself. My first choice was Laguna Blue, but GM quit making it after 2016. I thought about Arctic White as my second choice, but my other car (daily driver) is white. My third choice was Torch Red, which I ended up ordering for my 2017 Stingray 2LT. Yellow is probably my next favorite color after the red......but I still think I enjoy it on someone else's Corvette rather than on mine. LOL!
A lady in our Corvette club has a yellow C7 and she said it sort of "grows on you" after awhile. Very few of them around, that is for sure.
P.S. If you do get yellow, the black wheels & trim are a must!

I am going to get a 2019 Z06, and am considering colors. I have always liked the Corvette Racing Yellow from a distance, but I don't know if it would get "old and overbearing" after a few months. Anyone on here that has yellow have an opinion, pro or con? I get that it's a personal thing, but figured someone else may have a similar thought.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I understand your point, I think at times some of us will throw out a Thread ( question) just to see what reactions (commits) will respond. With those responses you sit back and decide with information received if it sways you or not.
Good luck with your choice of color.

They did the same to my Velocity Yellow. Bugs were always on it or around it. I think they think its some kind of flower

I’ll admit I didn’t take this picture, as a professional photographer wanted to give me the “present” of photographing my car as a thank you for he and 9 others staying as guests in our home. He and a group of wonderful people from Lehigh Valley Helps drove down from Pennsylvania to our area to help people that lost everything when Harvey flooded their homes. We only had water in our garage ( and perhaps a little in back bedroom) Anyways, we didn’t want anything as they were giving of their time, money and hard labor helping others but he insisted. I am grateful for his kindness.( P.S. I am grateful I didn’t lose our cars in the flood either).

Judging from the responses here it appears that others have also experienced this addiction. After initially taking a bold chance, rather than regretting it they often buy another one!

When I picked up my VY at McMulkin is was in their upstairs showroom. It popped better than all the colors. I have never regretted it. It looks great with all the black accents.

Ever since I was a young kid my favorite color on a vette has been yellow. Then in the 1986 yellow pace car came out I fell in love with it more. I was able to make my dream come true this past June 2017 when I ordered my 2017 Grand Sport. As you can see even with some red on it , I think it looks awesome. As of today no regrets on the choice of color.
