Did you put the 500 Miles on your vehicle on the return trip? Oil change?
Yes I'm currently around 580 miles, so I'll get the oil changed Monday, just trying to decide where to take it in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Already in-progress. The man-cave used to be filled with road racing motorcycles, so I'm converting things over. It'll look fine in a week or two.

Congrats, another Vette comes to NC. Sure would be nice if the weather would warm up for some top down driving. My Vert is resting on the battery maintainer for a little warm weather for a little drive. Be careful out there. those cold tires are slippery.

Beautiful car and write up. You set the bar really high on the write up and pictures. I will try my best to do a decent job of documenting my delivery on the 26th.

Enjoy,
Don

I throughly enjoyed reading your post and hung on every word. Congratulations on an awesome looking GS. The gray interior could not have been a more perfect with Admiral Blue and the white stripes top it all off.

Congratulations and thanks again for bringing us along for a great ride.

Not a long story at all since you write very well. Yes, Lori and all the others at NCM do a wonderful job and it's nice to read about another co., Auto Armor, that does well by its customers. Good for all to know about them! A little promo never hurts esp. for those doingt a Museum delivery and going back thru Nashville.

VEry good color combo and car looks great.

BTW, did you get a chance to do the factory tour or a chit to come back and do it sometime in the future?

They aren't offering factory tours at this time, but they did give me a coupon to return within a year.

Congrats, Stan. I know you were suffering through that long wait, but it was all worth it in the end.

great story. Brought back memories of our NCM delivery last June with Shane and Lori. I never got a pic of them, or the delivery guide Jerry. We were lucky enough to watch our car get built on the Factory Build Tour then a second tour with the family 3 weeks later during the NCM delivery. Couple weeks later the tours and build tour were put on hold.

I wasn't sure if the factory was open for tours at the time you picked up your car. But, if you and your wife get the chance to do it, from others who have done it (mine was years ago), I strongly suggest you do it. It's a great tour for anyone---even those who don't prefer to go to manufacturing plants, or car plants.

Thanks for the visit to the museum. You have an awesome car. Congrats. I was considering doing the same thing when my 19 GS comes off the line, but didn't like the idea of driving from Bowling Green to Central Florida.

Why not? As long as the weather isn't bad, (like it was with me) I think it would be an awesome road-trip! I'd take a map out and plan on a stop around 500 miles at a dealer along the way for the oil change. I only wish it hadn't been pouring rain ALL the way home for me. If it had been decent weather, it would have been simply perfect!
