Default *ZR1 #1 Million $~1/21/18 Delivery post-Throwback heavy Pics. Mike Furman@Criswell**

~Do I work for Criswell Chevrolet or am I an Corvette enthusiast? I get that question a lot, of course posed tongue in cheek. Some believe selling Corvettes Nationwide for as long as I have deem what I do pure fun...maybe even the worlds greatest job. Like any job it's still work but if you're going to do something...why not something that you love? I get hundreds of calls per week on top of hundreds of emails. I answer everyone as swiftly as possible. Two other questions most asked are...What's the most you have delivered in a month? and in a day? I delivered 61 in one month, 56 of them were Corvettes. I have sold 18 in one day, 14 were delivered and 4 sold orders. Are they records? I don't really care about records one bit.
But on that note...last evening at Barrett-Jackson the very first 2019 ZR1, vin #1 sold for $925,000. Every penny going to charity. Now that is awesome!

~Spotlight on one delivery this week...

~Blaine J. Of Charlotte, North Carolina called me 8 weeks ago to special order his very first Corvette. He chose wisely with this Arctic White 2018 Grand Sport Cpe with Adrenaline Red interior Black Wheels and Red calipers! Blaine’s new GS Corvette is a 2LT Pkg with Competition Seats, visible carbon fiber ground effects Pkg, CF badge Pkg, Heritage pkg, 7Spd manual trans, CF mirrors, Navigation/PDR and CF Black Center stripe. This combo is cooler than the other side of the pillow. Blaine was in and out in under 75 minutes and headed South the 430 miles to his home in Charlotte with his 13 yr old son. Some quotes via email from Blaine on the road home..."Easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had by a long shot!!! Now I’m ready to knock off these 500 break in miles so I can open it up! Thanks again for everything! You did an absolutely fantastic job and made it extremely easy on me. This is one sweet ride!" Blaine

Weather reached 63 degrees yesterday. Perfect driving conditions from Criswell to Blaine's home in Charlotte, NC.

In the wash bay at 6:45am. I had 8 deliveries yesterday so I was in early checking on them all.

~Other deliveries that left the yard....

Two time Corvette customer from Clifton, NJ called me up in December to factory order this 2018 Tahoe LT. I had it built in 4 weeks.

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find, Throwback and old ad section. For those of you that don't follow my posts...Frank Class bought a new Corvette from me every year. He enjoyed my forum posts very much so I emailed them to him every Sunday morning. He would sit and check out every picture before going to Church. Frank passed away last Summer at the young age of 81. Frank had owned 50+ Corvettes including a 1957 that he still owned since new! Hence the reason I dedicated this section in his name.

I am surprised the ZR1 didn't go north of a million, but is still quite a comendable price in the name of charity. I saw that 1984 C4 go for $200,000 on Barett Jackson, and the winning bidder gave it right back for another rebid and it went for another $100,000. Corvettes and charity - win win

Thanks Mike!

Thanks for another great week of photos Mike.
Lots of very beautiful Split Window Coupes.
Hard to select one favorite but this one ranks right up there - the Nassau Blue '66 ---

Great photos once again! My fave this week is the red C5Z with the stormy clouds above it, that looks evil, in a good way!

Here's to Mr. Class

And, of course, to the gentleman below to whom all Corvette fans owe a great deal - thank you Zora!

P.S. your 59 was so sweet Mike...Louise wants one just like it!

Great pictures!
I picked this throw back since it really captures that time.

Your '59 is my favorite C1 right down to the color combo and engine/trans choice.

Some impressive sales stats Mike.

Interesting old photo.

Too many great photos to pick just one; but I really love the fantastic shots of all the 1963 "split rear window" coupes. They are so easy to distinguish from the other C2s because of that. The 1967 is the only year Corvette that has the backup light above the license plate; but I have trouble with the 1964 to 1966 cars all looking exactly alike.

The scariest photo is the one of the C3 decked out with all the "bling" and looking as though it was the love child of a Corvette and a Lincoln Continental after it mated with a Thunderbird.

This thread really made my Sunday!!

Great post, Mike. Perfect to go with my bowl of oatmeal and cup of coffee. Now it's time to take the cover off my Stingray and take a nice ride in the country.

Buddy, this thread starts my Sunday morning every week.

I'm also surprised that Rick's purchase of the ZR1 wasn't over $1m. Heck the Carbon 65 sold for over $1m !!!

Default ‘63 split window paloozah

Incredible collection of the split windows this week. Love those overhead shots.

Your bud and neighbor Tony, owner of Tony’s Corvettes of Gaitherburg, Maryland was at Barrett Jackson. His hard bound book on the history and modern day ownership of the rare and original ZO6’s was prominently discussed and displayed this month at both Mecum in Kissimmee and Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale.

The black C7 pictured with the Middle East license plate was stunning. It celebrated with a lot of road course and race track logos and colors.
