Nope, standard seats do the job for me, can not see the value in spending 2k for the comp seats.

Nope. Extremely happy with the standard seats that FAR EXCEED any previous Corvette and are as good or better than those in more expensive sports cars.
An older article but still relevant for those who have not seen it.

I had every option I deemed important except the seats. Winter project, I did the conversion. I have the Recaros in my Camaro and both my wife and I like those. So these should be great too. Can’t wait to pull the car out of storage and get some seat time.

No, would not want the racing seats.

No. Sat in competition seats, and to my back, they are painful. VERY happy with the stock seats.
Strangely to my personal tastes the stock seats look better too!

I had them on my order originally, then sat in a car in the dealers showroom with stock seats and that prompted me to chang the order to save the $1995. I’d have left them on the order if they were $495 but $1995 just seemed too much.
Ordering is strange, it’s like they give you nothing for the stock seats.
Same goes with wheels.

We had the standard seats in our first C7 and now have competition seats in our C7 Z06. For us the competition seats are so much more comfortable, the side bolster doesn't go up as high so you have more room for your shoulders.
Now that we have had both we will always go with the competition seats going forward.
The best thing is to take your time and figure out which fits you best.

When I was configuring my order at Kerbeck for my 2016 Z51 Vert...I pretty much loaded it up with most of the options except for the competition seats. I went over the order with the manager, Rich and my salesman, Sam and I asked...did we miss anything? Rich said, just check out the competition seats before signing off. There was a vette 10 feet away with the seats and I sat in it. He asked me what I thought. I told him I liked them, but not $2k worth of like. lol. Ordered my car with the standard seats. No regrets.

Spring Mountain is probably the closest I’ll ever get to competition. They use the standard seats there, they were fine. A medical issue would be the most likely thing to force me to change, but thank goodness I don’t have one.
I did ask the question in another thread after I saw it in a showroom. Why would a C7 without a spoiler need comp seats? Talk about mismatched options...
