I have had my Torch Red 2018 2lz z06 auto for a little over 2 weeks. I was hoping it would be a chick magnet (im 34, no kids and single). I find it to be more of a old caucasian man magnet since everytime I stop somewhere I find old, white dudes want to walk up and talk to me about the car and how they had one in the 60s or 70s.
Yesterday a baby who was probably around 2 with a pacifier in his mouth comes up to the car and starts putting his tiny greasy hands all over it. Mom comes over and apologizes and tells me he has a toy that looks just like my car so he got attracted to it. But no attention from the hot, hispanic ladies in south florida with lots of aftermarket accessories so far is a bit disappointing
So why haven't you asked any of the "old white dudes" if they have any smoking-hot daughters? Slacker.
Yesterday I parked next to a LEO and he mentioned my 'fast car'. I told him I thought I should be able to drive at whatever the highway number was. He laughed and said "yeah, 101 miles per hour". I didn't tell him I was thinking more of our highway 280.
Like to see you survive on Interstate 5 with that philosophy.
My wife and I sometime must drive to coffee separately and occasionally park these together. That tends to generate comments/questions, especially when they learn we own both such different approaches to the "sports car."
This happened to me shortly after I purchased my first C7 in 2014.
"I got stopped by the MN Highway Patrol a few days ago with my vert top up. I saw the squad car on my right and had slowed down to the speed limit, he followed me for a while then lit me up. Young rookie officer came up to me and said he had stopped me for not having a license plate and no temp sticker in back and was checking if I was the owner. I told him that because it was a vert the sticker was in the front, he apologized and said it was a "beautiful car" and the first C7 he had seen and we chatted for a few minutes. I have a 60 day temp sticker that expires on 09.26.14, awaiting my new set of personalized plates, hope the new plates arrive soon as my black C7 vert gets a lot of attention!"
Careful on those NYC roads...especially the I-95/Buckner corridor in the NE Bronx!

thank you!! I do not live in the Bronx anymore, I moved to pa when I had the c6corvette, I got tired of all the traffic on I 95, 24/7. So yes you can say a corvette is I life changer!!
