Corvettes certainly do get a lot of attention
I've probably only put 150 miles or so on the Z, but I gotta say it get's more than its fair share of attention. It certainly isn't like driving the F150 around town! A few brief observations:
1) Every squid on 4 wheels wants to race. Sure, I've played around with a few on back country roads, but nothing that would be considered dangerous. Half seem to be honda civics They love to come flying up on your ***....like it's nascar and they're trying to draft.
2) Johnnie law has a hard on for corvettes. Yesterday, I had one stalk me on the interstate for like 15-20 miles - despite switching interstates. He was following about .2m back, swapping lanes so he could keep me in his sights. Maybe it was just coincidence, but you can just kind of tell when they've got you in their crosshairs. Others in the city seem incapable of seeing the car without running the tags. Poor F-150 can't get the time of day from Johnnie law!
3) Walkers love giving the car the thumbs up. The last one to do it was some teenager walking home from the bus stop with a trombone case strapped on his back - which confused me. At that point, I wasn't sure if I should kick my own *** since band camp teenagers are giving me thumbs up or it was actually cool that a teenager would give a fat, bald middle-aged guy a thumbs up.
So far I gotta say I absolutely love the car. You just never want to park the thing

I have always gotten attention with my previous Corvettes, but the C7 takes it up another notch! On the weekend when I took it out for a few drives, every time I was stopped and near the car people would come up and start a conversation with me about it. I felt like a rock star

The C7 certainly has an enduring design going into its 6th MY.

I went into a bo jangles biscuit chicken fast food store one day and they all came out to look and take picks. Another day me and a few of our friends went for a ride and parked and ate lunch and when I came out I noticed two small smudges on drivers side window, it was from nose prints looking inside, LOL. Cool cars

When I lived in Portland, Or it drew a lot of attention. Where I live now the cars are a dime a dozen. I have lived here in Lake Havasu for 9 months now and have never got any attention, which is fine with me by the way.

They certainly draw attention. I didn’t buy the car to show off or bring attention to myself but it sure turns heads. Lots of good fun experiences. Last time we drove the car a couple kept pulling up at the lights and trying to take pictures. Also get the guys that have to race. They will drive you crazy. Never had so many people try in my C5. Don’t know what it is about my car but seems like 50% of the time I drive it it happens. Thinking of making a sign to hold up that says GO AWAY!! Wife would never let me make one that says what I’d really wanna say lmao!

I've had several people ask me if it was a Ferrari.

I parked my car in front of WaWas and went inside and some woman kept chasing after me. When she finally caught up with me she had to make a comment about the car. And I had some guy with his daughter chasing me in traffic to tell me that his daughter really liked my car so it does get attention.

I personally think cops respect the Corvette and their drivers. If I get attention from them, it is usually a wave.
I drive to the ATL airport often and I try to get early flights. Traveling about fifteen over at 0400, my lazer detector when off and I almost pooped myself. I didn't hit the brake, I was already busted. Blue lights came on, headlights came on, when I passed him getting ready to pull out of the median, he just turned his lights off and backed into position.
I think driving the Corvette saved me. If I would have been in a Camaro, I would have a ticket.
In daylight hour, I am never hit with RADAR or LAZER. I am sure it is the car.

Talk about getting attention...We were parked outside a Taco Bell, the parking lot faced the hwy. and the GS was very visible. Just as we were approaching the car a long line of 911 Porsche were passing by, probably going to a local show or outing. Well, we stopped to look at them when we started to get the thumb's up from several of the owners and passengers. Wow, made us feel really good.

Not into the Face-Insta-Snap-Tweeting world, but it would be interesting to know how many pics of my car are floating around social media, as I'm always seeing folks snapping pics of it.
Some are even polite enough to come up when I park it somewhere or getting gas and ask before they take pictures. One of the more memorable was one day I was leaving Home Depot. A whole family had just parked across from where I was parked. Husband, Wife, Three kids. They commented on it as I walked towards it...very polite. I got in and was putting some thing in the console when I looked up and realized all five of them were still standing in a line, in the middle of the parking lot, just waiting on me to leave so they could watch it pull out. Fun times!

In my opinion the kids are the best. My last was an approx. 15 year old girl with her Grand Parents. When we walked out of the restaurant she was taking pictures of the car. I ask her if she would like to sit in the car, and let her Grand Mother take some pictures. The smile said it all.

Yup, lots of attention--kind of caught me off guard! But it has all been positive. What surprised me the most were all the impromptu conversations that came up at stop signs and stoplights when I have my vert top down. Drivers or even pedestrians on the sidewalk start talking to me, asking questions, and giving complements. [The funniest was a woman who drove a block out of her way to catch me to let me know that, when I signaled to turn, my front running light on the same side shut off. I did not have the heart to tell her that most cars were designed that way.]
