After many Corvette years saying good bye to the Forum
After being a Corvette guy my whole life and having had at least one car from every generation with the exception of the C-8, I'm changing directions having recently buying a Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. There is a lot of knowledge on this site and people have been great in sharing their information with others. Wish everyone the best it's been a great run.

Even though you may not own a Corvette, that does not mean you can't still hang out here and contribute. Hopefully you will stop in every now and then.
Congrats on your CT4 V - I for one would be interested in your thoughts about the car and how the performance stacks up with your previous cars.

Burning Brakes
Hall1836, I have considered doing the same. Maybe it's age but the had ride, avoiding bumps, is getting tired.
I would enjoy you updating with pictures, your reasons, pro's and con's, and thoughts after 3 months of ownership.

Have learned a lot more about the car since being interested in them, originally was looking to go for the CT5-V with supercharged Vette motor. The cost kept rising with additions, they also changed the look in 2020 and it's hard to tell the difference between the V cars and the regular sedans. The dealer I got the car from must have high sales because he always has V cars. I've since learned that there are waiting lists on these cars with preorders up to a year, people are paying up to $10,000 over sticker, and hey don't offer any incentive for price reduction. I got this car off the floor heavily optioned paid about $100 over sticker and dealer threw in some extras. It is RPM limited and the little bit of driving I've had I like it. Rides way better then my 2017 Grand Sport which I traded in. Car is twin turbo 6, 472HP, 455 Torgue at 3500 RPM very nimble, posted times 0-60 3.7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 12+ at 114. Will try post pictures here soon. Car is supposed to compete against BM M3 and others.

Melting Slicks
More than one way to stay in vettes too. After 7 years of great road trips in 2 different C7s, my sweet wife said she'd prefer to take road trips in a car that was more comfortable for her, and we already had a '20 CT6-V (that car rocks. I knew I wanted one, ordered even before orders for the '20s opened up via my long-time Caddy dealer and corp, and waited 11 months for it). So I sold the C7 and got a 'foreign make' that is fun but more of a GT car than a sports car. But here is something else you can do: get a vintage vette. We have an L71 roadster and the old school, cammed up motor really puts a smile on my face.
I still stop by to see what my old friends in the C7 forum are up to. Great group of enthusiasts, and a great car. Best, Paul

You're moving on but it's like a different house in the same neighborhood! Cadillac V products are very good. I am still at the stage where I like my exhaust loud, my suspension low and firm, and my transmission manual...but I also understand those desires may change with time. Have fun with the new ride!
