Is there a way for the driver to pop the passenger door open?
I have a 2015 c7 and it seems like there should be a way to pop the passenger door open while the car is running and sitting inside, for example if i was to want to pick up my "date" at the corner and maybe shes never ridden in a c7 .. ok i know keep driving right. it just seems easier if i could just push a button by mine and pop her door instead of trying to explain it.. just a thought

No way will she drive in the Vette unless I open the door, help her in and out and close her door!
Fortunately, that doesn't happen often as when she is with me I have to drive like an "old man," short shift and never get past 3000 rpm! Tonight she also said, "How do you tolerate all those pebbles hitting the bottom of the car?" Where we live, lots of pebbles on our narrow twisty roads hitting the underside of my full length side skirts. When I drive by myself, which is 99% of the time, the sound systems starts automatically with car playing over 1000 songs in shuffle mode much louder than she would tolerate. Never hear those pebbles over Janis Joplin singing "Cry Baby' etc. I also frequently hit redline in 3rd between farm fields with no traffic, where the cotton and corn (or this time of year fallow fields) don't care how fast I am going! She would never get in the car again if I did that when she was with me!
When we travel together we mostly use her BMW X5 SUV! Frankly I prefer that on an interstate, I sit high, don't worry about the many 18 wheeler tire treads in the road or the radar detector beeping every time a trooper passes in the opposite direction!

I think it's fun to watch new passengers start to reach down at that moment when they realize they really don't know what to do. I don't make them stew long enough to get upset or anything, though. That's part of the charm of taking a Vette-newbie for their first ride in one!

I ask women if they know what is the woman's role in chivalry. It's funny to watch them squirm trying to come up with an answer. The real answer is there is no role for the woman. What guy would sign up for such a lopsided deal?
Being nice to somebody is a nice thing to do. Do it if you want to. But when a woman demands chivalry she is asking for a gift with no reciprocal obligations. She's looking to get something for nothing and that tells you a lot about her character.
IMHO, of course.

Be a gentleman and open the door for her! I still do that all the time with my wife. But if you're taking a buddy out for a spin, you can just reach over from the driver's seat and open the passenger door. I did just that yesterday when I took a co worker out to lunch. It's really not that far of a stretch.
^^^This.......thank you Pat.
