Yes you are right. The traffic fines go to the school system. However, the traffic fine is minimal and the court costs are extremely ludicrous. The court cost go to the local government system. So the schools get 25.00 -30.00 and the courts get 200.00 -300.00.
The schools are hurting in this area. They graduate retard level IQ's every year.
Then find a cop who is not in a 2017 or 2018 model year cruiser or SUV.
Money well spent?
You got to admit, NC Trooper cars do look cool:
This is one you can spot... The unmarked cars are extremely difficult to locate.

Every day I read in the newspaper about scumbags in MY community raping, killing, stealing, etc.
And the city/county/state politicians spend very limited and finite tax dollars for LE to target NON-criminal traffic offences.
It's sickening.

Speeding tickets have always been about revenue. Safety is the lie we are told. People who obstruct traffic are easily most dangerous drivers on the road, and if safety were the actual concern, then these folks would be ticketed. We all know, this just does not happen. Safety aside, anyone presenting themselves as an obstacle to other drivers deserves a ticket.

If it's all about safety why did my friend get a ticket for going 41mph in a 40mph zone? Is that 1mph crucial to public safety? He went to court over it and the judge told hi his hands were tied. It's this kind of thing that undermines our trust in public service personnel.

There is an a-hole in the C6 forum who would be going off right now reading this thread.
He actually thinks he is doing Memphis a favor by writing tickets to people for 5 over the limit.
Memphis, TN of all cities. There is no actual crimes going on there, " Let's go after speeders."

Stoplight cameras are supposedly there for “safety” as well. Just another revenue generator. If it’s about safety then why does the time from a yellow to a red light get cut in half when the system is installed at an intersection? $$$$$ Often find my only options are maximum braking or flooring it and hoping I don’t get popped. Total BS.
