Does anyone name their cars anymore?
At the risk of sounding like a softy my wife has suggested we name the car. I have never named a car in my life but then again I've never had a Corvette before. I remember calling my Camaro some Choice words when my socket broke and my Knuckles split wide open.
so my question is do people still name their cars?

This came up on another forum earlier this week. I know as long as cars have been around, people have named them. However, I'm in the camp of feeling odd naming my cars. But to each their own I guess

Have with the bikes since there's "Connie" (Kawasaki Concours) and "Vicki" (Victory Vision) but nothing with the cars ever stuck.
Could see the C7 getting a nick-name but nothing has presented itself. Something like a callsign; you can't pick one it chooses itself. "Psycho" comes to mind but been thinking "Zelda" since it means "happy" or a "fighting maid"...

Scarlett Rose. It's tradition. Rose is a family name, usually used with dogs. But it's not as if it's painted on anywhere. Just used in conversation with selected people. Wouldn't want anyone to be offended or triggered.

No name, the only time I have ever named a car is back when I was drag racing.

Been driving for close to 60 years now and have never met anybody who gave their car a name.

I have the Corvette and my wife the ATS-V. We call them "your car" and "my car"
when we walk into the garage, she says "which car are we taking? Your car or my car?"

I never have, but if my wife suggested it and wanted to name it, I would say, "Yes dear, I like that."
