Default Memory Seat..... Doesn't Remember

I have a '18 GS. I have done everything in the book to program the driving and exit position's but when I enter, start the car, the seat will go to a position that's not even close to my settings. Yes, I set it according to weather I'm Driver #1 or #2 and I make sure I have the correct FOB. Anyone else experiencing the Seat Gremlin.

A lady on U tube (I can't remember her name) did a excellent vid on how to set your seat memory. Several members on here have used it including me, and it worked perfectly. google corvette seat memory and it will come up. (The OEM manual sucks on this issue)

Is anyone getting into the passenger seat before you get in with the other fob? Whichever fob the car sees first is selected. When my wife gets in first, the seat goes to her position. After about putting my knees through the dash, I set both memories to my settings. If she is going to drive, I'll reset memory #2 to her settings.

Make sure;
You are pressing the first button ("Set") before pressing #1 or #2
Make sure you hear a single "Ping" when you press the "Set" and a double "Ping" on driver button.
(This one is really important) Make sure the back of your seat is NOT touching the bulkhead in anyway! You may have to move the set a little forward or disconnect the limit switch under the carpet.

Tray this and get back to me.

Also, the video of the girl on Utube is WAY out dated, the car she is using is a 2014

You got that right, the OEM manual does suck on this issue. It directs you to hit Set, then after beep, hit 1 or 2.

I did find the Video you mentioned. The gals namel is Ginger and she does a great job explaining the procedure.

Thanks.

Yep, sometimes my drivers mirrors goes to preset and sometimes it's a little off. Same with seat. No other presets in my car and other fob around. AND, only now and then. Crazy.

I know what you mean about squeezing ya half to death.

I do believe I found the problem. Gotta press both buttons (Set then 1 or 2) together pressing the Set button first.

Thanks.

I'll try it. Thanks for the tips. Did the 2014 program differently?

An auto needs to be in Park and manual needs to have the parking brake set for memory recall to work automatically. Otherwise, you will need to hold the #1 or #2 button.

I think it was Ginger. Make sure which FOB # you are programming. Pull the key out and with a microscopic look at the # stamped inside. Mine had a 1 & 2.

Check your ”exit mode”!

I had the same issue only to find out that when the seat is programmed in the very back position in exit mode the seats limit switch is activated and it then goes into a very strange position during start. Move the seat an inch forward and reprogram exit mode and then it should work to go into 1 or 2 automAtically during startup!
