Heck, you'll be fine. I got broke in right off the bat when I bought my C7. Ordered it with Museum delivery, right? I had big plans to keep it showroom pristine. Well, never tell the gods your plans, it only makes them laugh. I took delivery on Dec. 23rd, in the rain. The car sat in the rain all that night at the motel just outside the museum. It rained all the next day as we drove home, about 275 miles, on Christmas Eve. With all the holiday activities and more bad weather the car was dirty for a couple of weeks. So much for my big plans. All is good and I had one heck of a Christmas present that year.

Driving in the rain does not stop me. It just helps verify that there are no leaks in the car.

Your car will let you know what it thinks of your transgressions if uncorrected --- but if you wash it now, all will be forgiven.

(Yes, that is rain.)
I have driven in the rain and put my Corvette away dirty. Kinda scary doing that on a C7. My C6 is almost worn out and I may have to move up to possibly a dirty and wet C7 ?

I try to wash once a week, this time of year weather permitting. Drove in rain last night, parked in driveway. Will be behind the wheel again in about an hour, will get a wash when I get a chance, I don’t love it less when it’s dirty.
