Default Will I go to Corvette Purgatory?

Forgive me Corvette Padrones for I have sinned:

I drove her down to Olympia, WA to get my oil changed and to change the tranny fluid (to try to end the 1st to 2nd "graunchiness", seems to have worked) and when I got home from driving in the rain, forgive me, this is tough........I DIDN'T WASH HER. She sits in the garage still dirty.

Will saying 10 "Hail Duntovs" be sufficient? I await your judgements.....

It's a car. Made to be driven. Rain - no biggie. 21 degrees and blizzard - probably not a wise decision. Maybe borderline, Darwinian.

You are forgiven. Now, I need to collect your 10% tithe and all is good.

So I washed my GS reflexively every time it was a little dirty when I first got it last spring. After a while I told myself I had to stop so I let it sit a week. When I washed it there were a couple bugs that had stained the white paint a light light gray. I freaked out. I showed several friends and they looked and looked and looked and couldn't see the gray. But it's THERE, I swear.

Since then I've been more relaxed but I do wipe any bugs off with a quik detailer if I see any after any drive.

I have a somewhat different take on washing my C7 . . . . I actually enjoy the experience, and I like to take my time on a nice day, with some oldies (well, oldies to me) on the radio, A seat available in the shade for breaks, some cold beverages and a quality cigar or two. If all of those conditions can't be met, it can become a chore - and I don't want that to happen. So yes, sometimes it sits unwashed for a few days. Deal with it.

Now, my 1962, on the other hand, rarely if ever actually gets very dirty - so it's more a question of dusting it off and tinkering with it once in a while than ever really giving it a good scrub - although I do try to do that once in a great while.

Washing your Corvette should be fun. If it isn't, wait until you're in the mood. Both you and your car will be the better for it.

Yeah, well, it would be nice if it STOPPED RAINING for a few minutes so you could get the car washed. Anyone who lives here knows why you didn't.

Just take your medication bud, and hopefully you'll be fine.

I just went 6 weeks, and almost 5,000 miles between washings on mine.

It's going to melt for certain. Place catch pans under so you can save the melted body parts run off.

In the garage dirty? So is mine... and my C5. So what, don't care. It's a car, after all.

My weather has barely been drivable--once in a while of late, but not washable (at least, not for me).

Dunno. I try to wash all my vehicles four or five times a year whether they need it or not.

(Yes, that is rain.)
